When did your application go into review? Also, is that you GPA or UGPA?

EDIT: Disregard this post, didn't realize I posted here before.

Undergrad GPA at time of application. It went into review around early to mid-January.steph7691 wrote:mhaquinator wrote:In, 3.61 GPA, 151 lsat, no scholarship info with my admissions letter. Any chance it'll come sooner?

No, you get your scholarship info in the original email. You are wasting your 3.6, go retake the LSAT and get a 160 and you will save yourself $75,000 if you want to go to DU.

From what I have discovered in searching through the legal market in Denver etc... they both have strong alumni networks and place really well regionally, what it boils down to is cost, if you get a scholarship at CU then it is probably going there with its higher rank otherwise, if you got into CU then you probably got money at DU.kase5771 wrote:I have officially narrowed it down to either DU or CU. Excited to be making a decision within the next couple weeks! I loved DU when I visited a month ago, but I just finally heard back from CU, so I am going to go check that out to compare. Anybody on here have specific reasons for choosing one over the other that might be interesting/relevant to someone still deciding? Thanks!

Hey guys I got into denver. The deposit date is April 25th. Can someone tell me how exactly it works if I dont put in a deposit on time? I have a few schools to visit and while I should get to denver before the deposit date some of my other schools deposit dates are a lot earlier. I dont want to put a ton of money toward school I might not go to but also dont want to get my seat yanked for not making a deposit on time either.

Cool Cool thanks for the info. I got my acceptance the other day. They said they are waiting to offer me scholarships until after the 25th when they figure out how much money they have left from people who didn't accept their positions. You think I have a good shot at some money?

Hey all,
I will be a 2L next year at DU and thought I would throw up my experience on here. I applied pretty late with a 3.2/162 and was put on the waitlist. After a couple weeks I got an offer with. 50% scholarship and was able to negotiate a little more. So for those on the waitlist keep positive!
Girl from Florida....there were several people from Florida in my year, so definitley doable as long as your ready for the cold.
Those on the edge between CU/DU.....Both are fantastic schools and congratulations on getting into both. I have a very strong bias towards DU and love my school so keep that in mind. However, if you have ANY interest in trial work GO TO DU! The DU 1Ls have beet The CU 1ls in the annual CU/DU tournament for the last five years and our advocacy department is now ranked 9th in the country. So if you like trial go to DU.
Otherwise.....Follow the money! Debt sucks and the sooner you can get rid of it the better. Both schools are great (Boulder is absolutely gorgeous, but Denver has its moments) and you will have a fantastic experience at either.
Hope this rant was helpful and if you have any questions feel free to pm me.
P.s. did I mention we have jumped up some 25 spots in the rnkings the last 5 years and continue to rise

I'm now in this position as well, just off the waitlist at CU. Sturm seems more appealing environment-wise, but CU is fairly attractive with their high ranking environmental program too.kase5771 wrote:I have officially narrowed it down to either DU or CU. Just sent in my deposit for DU, the scholarship was too good not to attend. Looking forward to seeing you all in the fall!
