No FAFSA. No email.

I sent them my FAFSA, but I don't think I got this email y'all are speaking of. What exactly does it say?

Sorry, there's a confidentiality notice at the end of the email, so I don't think I should make it public. :(

No decision, submitted FAFSA earlier this week, and no email here.

Shouldn't be a shock. That's generally where they fall.

Congrats! Your numbers give me some hope (164/3.6, so a bit more balanced). I was going to schedule a visit for a couple weeks from now but I think I"ll wait and call Monday to see where the app is before committing to flights and all a few weeks down the road.

Thanks everyone. I'm located in Atlanta so this batch was probably sent out yesterday. Good luck to you all!

Does Emory have an academic calendar for 2013-14 released yet? I was looking to see when classes would start this fall.

They are released somewhere, but will be orientation starting Aug 12 and classes the 19th. (unless they decided to change orientation length for some reason). There were unofficial social activities starting roughly the week before orientation that were shared on the facebook group.

It's a tough market, I will say I think once the AIII clerkships in all will settle out to be whats expected in the world. Also, when you consider the fact that the south has smaller firms the result is likely that Emory has results that are similar to its peers when it comes to market/near market jobs (do note that ATL has a lower market salary than many cities, but a lot of that is COL).

When you are dealing with a couple points a lot of it comes down to which school ended up with the personalities that some partners in NY like. If our spring OCI for 1Ls has showed me, it is all about what a particular firm is looking for once you get inside their grade range.

Has anyone heard or know about the TI:GER program? How competitive is it and what kind of grades are required to be accepted into the program?

I've heard good things from people who have friends in it. We have an info session on it in March so I am sure I'll have a better idea then. I understand it is somewhat competitive - but can't tell you how competitive beyond that grades do matter, as does background in science/technology/business or econ.

Hopefully a 2L or 3L who know more than I do will wander in here.
