I have similar numbers (slightly higher) but got way less. Aren't schollys purely numbers based? Sigh, I want to call and ask for more...
No. For the Loyola scholarships they say they consider a variety if factors, including other accomplishments, contributions to diversity, adversity, etc. I think the Dean's and Burns are solely numbers based.

Yeah...I think CO2016YEAH is right. My community service over the last few years must have put me over the edge. I also gave a year of service to an AmeriCorps organization.
But thanks to all for the congrats. I hope you're all alleviated soon from this hellish wait.

Just received a voicemail from Dean of Admissions asking for me to call back because he had questions about my application. I called back and he wanted me to come in for an interview. Unfortunately I just received an 8:30-5 job that starts Monday and don't think I could get any time off anytime soon, and I told him so. So he asked if we could do the interview over the phone, and if I was free, we could do the interview right now. We were on the phone for about 15-20 mins. Hope I didn't sound unaccommodating about coming in for an interview and that I answered his questions well! He told me I should receive a decision in about 2 weeks. Kinda freaking out right now! Crossing my fingers!

wow that sounds nerve-racking! i'm sure they won't count anything against you because you couldn't make it in for an interview. what kind of questions did he ask you?

I'm pretty sure if you told him you just started a FT job and were uncomfortable asking for time off he would understand.

Good luck! And I too am interested in what questions he asked you!
I believe the vast majority of scholarships are numbers based. I received the exact same amount as everyone else near my numbers on LSN. I am not at all saying I am better than anyone but I do have more than 8 years professional FT WE and a grad degree from a T14 school and most on LSN near me are straight out of undergrad. Maybe they have incredible softs, but who knows... Just my two cents.
ETA: Or perhaps my application was mediocre -- which is entirely possible.

Idk. I'm 160/3.8 and I got 90K. It could be based on my GPA, but I have a lot of volunteering experience as well.

Maybe they like the PI people. I felt my strongest approach was business since that was where my background lies, maybe it backfired. Regardless, my scholarship wasn't terrible, just was hoping for more. I got 90k from much higher ranked school so maybe I can leverage that.
Congrats on the 90k though, that's fantastic. Top choice?

Thanks Yeah, I was really surprised. Hope you can negotiate for more! I'm waiting to hear back from a lot of other schools still, but it's definitely one of my top choices.

Almost all the questions he asked me had to do with personal matters specific to my application (about a couple of my addenda). But he did also ask me "Why law school?" "Why do you think now is the right time for you to go to law school?" and "What do you plan on doing with your J.D.?"

My package came snail by USPS. I was DR on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday. I'm quite close so I expected it would be next-day delivery, but maybe it took a day to get out of the mailbag in the office.
Is anyone here more or less committed to Loyola at this point?
I'm still waiting to hear back from several schools, many of which I have eliminated as a result of $90k at Loyola. Failing a compelling offer from UCI, USC, or an outstanding one from Hastings, I'm leaning heavily towards LLS at this point.

I have scholarships at comparable schools(cardozo, northeaster, depaul) and an acceptance at USC but not sure if this could be used to leverage for $$, anyone have any insight on this?
