Nope. Although the letter said I could apply for scholarships which is interesting. May get some need-based but we'll see. Will probably end up withdrawing and opening up a spot for someone elseMASSattack1 wrote:Congrats! Any $ for a splitter like yourself?bgoodrick wrote:Got my acceptance today. 2.8, 167. The stip annoys me. I hope to negotiate the scholarship and the stipulation at a later date. Top 45% of the class seems fishy.owlie wrote:Acceptance came USPS today. 54k scholarship, 3.2 stip.

Received admission packet today with no scholarship. Going to wait to hear back from other schools before trying to negotiate a scholarship so we'll see. Do all of their scholarships include that 3.2 stip?

I think all but the full-rides... but then again, TLS is a small sample of LMU applicants, so I'm not too sure.SAlpha wrote:Received admission packet today with no scholarship. 3.2 is pretty steep, ouch.

Top 45-50%, the say. I thought this was actually pretty standard. I've only heard of a few people having no stips, and those were with stellar numbers. The only place I've heard of not putting stips on was Michigan... Of course, just because I haven't heard of others doesn't mean they don't exist...MASSattack1 wrote:3.2 is pretty steep, ouch.

I don't believe any of the t14 scholarships have stips, other than the standard "maintain good academic standing." Fordham doesn't have any, nor does BU (that I can personally verify anyway).CO2016YEAH wrote:Top 45-50%, the say. I thought this was actually pretty standard. It's just a little nerve racking knowing that some schools section stack (I have no idea if LMU does or does not, I cannot find anything to suggest they do). 45% may seem simple, but if they pile all the 90k kids into the same 30 person section, 15-16 will lose their scholarships :/
I try not to think like this, but it's a reality. I hope that the stipulations can be negotiated.

Sounds like they're giving out a lot of scholarships. Are there any numbers on scholarship retention?

Re: Loyola (Los Angeles) c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
An associate in my office went to Loyola and he says they actually don't end up having very many students with scholarships because of how many scholarship recipients withdraw.
I'm thinking he's probably right and people on TLS probably do not represent an accurate sample size of those who get accepted.
OK guys I think I'm obsessing now.

It is not where it used to be... curious. Maybe they are re-doing it? They just remodeled the site a few days ago...apinarba wrote:can anyone else not find the status checker or is that just me?
