Decision rendered 12/21...I live in Long Beach! Stop torturing me USPS! I love Christmas but this delay is seriously driving me mad.

I hadn't heard that. If you look at http://loyola.lawschoolnumbers.com/applicants/1213/ , some of the applicants have higher scholarships than me. I don't really know what it was about my application that got the scholarship for me, but I'm very happy to have gotten it.prssrnt17 wrote:I was told that 90,000 was the most Loyola gave out unless you commit to go there, then they give some of those people full rides. I only got offered 90k and I have a 4.0 and a 168+... I actually was considering Loyola because I really want to stay in LA over anything else, but I've already been offered more at other, better schools.mip1011 wrote:In by mail 12/22. Starting a comment with "I was told that" or "someone told me" is never a good idea.prssrnt17 wrote:I was told that 90,000 was the most Loyola gave out unless you commit to go there, then they give some of those people full rides. sent in my app yesterday, but retook the LSAT in December. If it did not improve, then I'll have a 163 3.4. Any chance of scholarship with these numbers and this late in the cycle?

"I was told" that they typically offer scholarships when both numbers are above median (by an adcom staff member at a law school forum), but that you still can be considered for a scholarship if both numbers are not above. I don't think it's too late, but I don't know for sure.jbates14 wrote:sent in my app yesterday, but retook the LSAT in December. If it did not improve, then I'll have a 163 3.4. Received my admissions packet today!! No scholarship offer...I applied Early Decision so this is no surprise. $1065 non-renewable 1st year stipend..pretty sure they offer that to every first year. I applied by December 1st. Received a status update that a decision was rendered on the 21st and I live in Long Beach for a USPS timeline. I am bummed I have to withdraw my other applications prior to hearing decisions ( just for a what-if-scenario) but I know I was a borderline case and for that I AM SO GRATEFUL!. Very excited..good luck to everyone and congratulations to all that have already got accepted.

Decision Rendered 1/2. Sent early September but I missed a question which I am guessing delayed the decision by ~ month.

Was it an important question? Maybe I missed it too. I sent in early Nov and I haven't had a decision yet.

It was the "has your education been interrupted for any reason..."Callous135 wrote:Observant_Poster wrote:Decision Rendered 1/2. Sent early September but I missed a question which I am guessing delayed the decision by ~ month.

The answer should have been marked No, which they can see by looking at my resume. They emailed me informing me that I left it out. I then began to second guess my answer because I did take a 2 year break after receiving my Bachelors. Though, I don't consider it an interruption, perhaps they would...?
Anyways, I emailed them explaining there was no interruption but I did take a break and here I am now with a decision rendered around a month later.

I got this as well. I looked back at my transmitted application and it was never asked.

I got the email about ed interruption also, back in early Dec. it was not stated that I missed the question, the email simply asked the question.
I have similar numbers to observant_poster and also applied in late Sept/very early Oct. Hoping for good news in the next few days...

Submitted electronic app on 1/1/13 -- Got Dec. lsat re-take score 1/2/13. Should I update them of my LSAT score improvement? Also, when should I expect an application received email w/ log-in details for the status checker?

Definitely update them on your improved score. Tough for me to say when you'll get a status checker; those of us that applied at the beginning of the application opening (beginning of Oct., I believe) got a checker which stated "complete" in early Dec. I'm not sure how long it has taken recent applicants to get a status checker.chinchillin wrote:Submitted electronic app on 1/1/13 -- Got Dec. lsat re-take score 1/2/13. Sent in my application 2 days ago!
154/150/3.56 GPA from Virginia Tech
Added a letter explaining why I did worse instead of improving on my retake (it was a fluke)
I know its a long shot but I'm hoping for something positive!

Hi All,
Anyone else noticing that they are taking forever to update the online status checker? I emailed them about it and they said it could take "at least a few weeks" to update even just a new LSAT score...Yikes.

LMU is notoriously slow with all things status checker related. I wouldn't worry too much.MASSattack1 wrote:Hi All,

Right. We are right in the thick of application cycle now. With thousands of apps/updates etc. I'm sure they are very busy. Presumably all of that stuff has to be updated on the status checker manually (by human input), and Dec. scores were just out last week. A few weeks seems like a long time, but with everything going on there I think that is reasonable.dproduct wrote:LMU is notoriously slow with all things status checker related. Should I be concerned if I haven't heard anything from them since I submitted my application? I applied last Wednesday and I haven't even gotten an e-mail saying they've received my application, same with two other schools, I'm not sure if it's normal or if something's wrong.CO2016YEAH wrote:Right. Re: Loyola (Los Angeles) c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I didn't get my status checker information for nearly 2 weeks. Some people last cycle waited 2 months before they got their logins, only to find out they were admitted in the next few days. LMU seems to dgaf the status checker part. If 2 weeks pass and you have nothing, shoot them an email.Psib337 wrote:Should I be concerned if I haven't heard anything from them since I submitted my application?
