The same thing happened to me, I got the email from the IT Help Desk and my Status Checker said "decision made". Today I got my acceptance letter in the mail. It was dated January 9, and the postage stamp was 1/11/13. The envelope was very thin so you might think it's a rejection. I was so scared that I didn't even notice that the envelope said Congratulations in the left corner. So if you see a Congratulations on the envelope don't worry if it is thin.

Spoke with admissions and they said that no decisions have been made yet regarding scholarships.

How long did it take to get your letter? My status checker says decision made 1/11 but I am waiting on the letter.

hmmm... IT emailed me only a few hours after my status check updated with my info about how to sign up for the ASW. maybe call admissions and ask? the previous page on the thread, a few people had the exact same thing happened as did to me.

A little late to the TLS party

Completed 11/12
Accepted 11/23

162/ 3.39 non URM

I've increasingly been leaning towards Maryland for a variety of reasons (govt placement in relation to the other schools I've applied, proximity to DC, etc), but cannot seem to find much discussion on the school.

Nope, and reading last year's thread didn't help much.
Top choice right now....minus the money issues.

Is anyone going to admitted students weekend? Feb 23rd?

Top choice for me as well right now. If I get some money, I'll definitely be attending. I'm thinking about going on Feb. 23rd. I'm hoping to hear about $$ before I decide, being out of state. Are you going?

Yeah being out of state sucks. I plan to, but it'll be an expensive flight from Denver so we'll see. They also haven't released much information about it...so it's hard to make plans.

Hey guys. Just wanted to say hi. I'm a current 1L. I received a full scholly last year and can tell you that money comes a bit later. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If I don't answer right away its cause I don't get a chance to come on here all the time.

How do you like the school/atmosphere? Did you have to negotiate for scholly $$? I'd like to hear anything in general you have to say about the school. Thanks!
