So anyone here wants to guess how W&L is going to rank this year? Their jump last year was really nice to see. I am really not going to make my decision on how they end up ranking, cause I really don't think changes within a year or two are major (nor choosing a school based just on USNWR) but still interesting to see how they'll preform.

I don't know... I wonder what's the reason for the big jump last year. That said, a move in the rankings for any school I applied to is not going to change my decision if to attend or not

Probably due to the new employment numbers. W&L has an insanely high school funded jobs rate when students graduate but that goes away in the 9 months before the NALP reporting is due. Also their LSAT numbers went down -2 across the board (which was common among most schools) but their GPA numbers went up from somewhere between .2 - .4.

this may be a stupid question but I got the 30K/year scholarship with the 3.15 GPA stip.

When i tell other people about that stip, they say that it's ridiculously high.

But when I look at the website, it seems like it's the top 75%? or C average?

Am I missing something? Is the stip really ridiculous and difficult to achieve or does W&L just grade differently??

That's when I'm going. Since that's the middle one, I'm assuming that'll be the one most ignored. I think it'll be a good chance to see just how small and remote Lexington really is.

I am planning to go to the ASW March 1,2. The flight ticket from Miami to ROA is almost 600$ now, but it only half the price if I fly to LYH. I probably could get a rental car there. But I just heard the road from LYH to Lexington is very hard to drive at this season, especially considering that I have to cross a mountain... Anyone lives at that area can provide me some information?

Is ROA the Roanoke Regional? if so then that would be smooth sailing since you only have to take 81 and straight... LYH is lynchburg right ? the mountains should be fine around march 1-2. We havn't been getting much snow up here these past years and definitely not in march. Though seeing as you're from miami... if it does snow, you might want to take ROA.

Side note: I'll be willing to give maybe 1 or 2 people a ride from ROA if needed(possibly)? to lynchburg.
