Hey! Just noticed there was no thread so I thought I'd create one . Did anyone applied?

Application sent in yesterday.

Sent mine! I'm thinking they'll take a while to start accepting. I havent seen a single person on lawschoolnumbers who has gotten accepted yet.

I just noticed that my status had switched to "decision rendered, letter mailed" (as of nov 16th!). I haven't seen the letter yet but I'm pretty sure I am in (168 3.92)

Same here, also above 75 percentile GPA. I also have a $200 fee which I'm assuming is the seat deposit fee. So I'm guessing that means I'm in. I don't think I'll be attending, but it's nice to have an acceptance already.

Why in gods name would you waste those #s on FIU, go get money from a T2 or low T1

Currently in UG and native Floridian. If you guys have any questions on the university in general or Miami, I'd be happy to answer them!

And I'm not a mod, but as a reminder, this is not a thread for bashing FIU

Right, generally don't do that, I'm not a T14 or bust guy. With those kinds of numbers I think it'd be a little crazy to choose FIU

Status Checker changed to "decision rendered - letter sent" on Nov. 16th. I called their admissions office and they told me that letters would be sent out on Monday the 26th. I sent an email asking for them to respond with my decision, but they have been out of the office for the Thanksgiving holiday. Someone on LSN updated their status yesterday indicating acceptance, but I'm not sure how they were notified of the decision. Have any other applicants heard back yet? This is a safety school for me, but I'm anxious because it will be my first decision of the cycle.

Check and see if you have a $200.00 deposit fee due on 4/1 on your status checker under fees. If you do, you're in.

Underneath my application fee, another line of fees has been added. It reads like this...

I don't remember if that blank fee was there before my decision was rendered or not. Any idea what this means?

I'm not sure what that means but this is what mine looks like:

Application fee 10/13/2012 20.00 20.00 10/13/2012
4/1/2013 200.00 .00

I am still waiting to hear back from FIU lol and I applied 10/4. Lower numbers than the ones posted here, though after almost two months i figured i would've heard back.

They told me I would get a letter in the mail today with my decision. I did get a letter, but it just thanked me for my application and told me the committee would be reviewing my file. I think it was the same letter they sent me two months ago when I applied.

I applied and it says decision rendered and under description of mailings it says scholar. I'm hoping that means I was accepted but this is as of 11/27. No seat deposit fee though.

It still says the same thing as it did with the application requirements. No changes yet.

Actually the seat deposit fee is showing up now so.. YAY! Looks like I got accepted hopefully...

how long did it take for your seat deposit to show up? My status changed to Decision rendered, letter mailed a few hours ago and I don't see any other changes :/ hoping that doesn't mean I'm waitlisted or didn't get it.

You definitely got in then with a scholarship I'm assuming. I just got my letter and I got the $10,000 dean's scholar scholarship. Under mailings mine said the same

Just got an e-mail telling me to check my status. Updated to Decision Rendered - Letter Mailed. Hoping for some good news in the mail within the next few days.
