Just an update for those of you on the waitlist: I've called the admission office and was told that there are still students with extended deadlines who haven't sent their deposit in. Right now is too early to know their incoming class size so it will take a few more weeks for them to start making decisions on the waitlist. It appears that there is no chance to get any news before early June

With your numbers, I think you're at the top of the waitlist. Sorry about the uncertainty, but hang in there!

I think they will start having movement off the waitlist next week. How late are you planning on staying on it?chicot wrote:Just an update for those of you on the waitlist: I've called the admission office and was told that there are still students with extended deadlines who haven't sent their deposit in. I am not sure why you would think that, since there are supposedly students who have a different deadline for the seat deposit. To answer your question, if they call me on the first day of classes, I will accept the offerClarity wrote:I think they will start having movement off the waitlist next week. Anyone here who got an extended deadline for the seat deposit?

Hey guys. I'm withdrawing. I live in LA - don't want to freeze my ass off over there. Even though it's a fantastic school. Good luck off the WL!

I've been in contact with Dean Scheller (Assistant Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid, for those who don't know) and she said that they have "not yet admitted anyone from the wait list," but that they "expect to know more in the next few weeks."
So there you have it, folks. Just take it easy for another few weeks. Nothing's happening this soon in the summer.

Since May 15th, the Admission Office has been saying that it "expects to know more in the next few weeks".....I have a feeling that will still be the case at the end of June
Thanks for sharing and good luck everybody in the "next few weeks"!

Is there any news on the wait list?
I am an international applicant and have been out of grad school
for a long time. Wisconsin is my top choice. If I got rejected this time,
I am willing to retake the LSAT. (probably in Oct.)
Initially, I was kinda happy in that I wasn't dismissed out of hand.
But now this waiting is clearly taking its toll on me.
Feeling like between a rock and a hard place.
If I fail, I have to buy LSAT prep books again (cuz I threw them out after the last test).
And I am thinking of taking an online prep course. (last time I studied by myself)
If I get a seat, I need to sell my car and everything and get a visa, which I am not 100%sure I would get.
Just hope I get the final verdict ASAP.

Received an info packet from the University that said (more or less) they have filled the class, but also know that many students have committed to a school other than UW-Madison. "...we have many highly qualified students who are still hoping for an offer. Your sensitivity to the situation is most appreciated."
