you're given a choice when you sign up, can be your initial plus last name, your first and middle initial plus last name or your first initial, first four of your last name and last four of your lsac number. if any of those is taken they add a 1, 2, 3 etc. to the endkckool7 wrote:Very possible. I heard back in january, created an account, and then put it to the back of my mind until just now when I need to send in my deposit. And I cannot, for the life of me, remember the username they gave me (or I created? I don't even remember how it worked). I know the password because there's a password reset function, but it doesn't seem to reveal my username.

Hopefully it's okay to post this here, but I've started a thread about my UM vs GWU decision and would really appreciate any input:

For those who made their scholarship deposit, where did you go to do so? I went from GWeb to my ebill account and see where I can make a deposit, but nothing specifically for the scholarship. Do I just pay 500 dollars to the general seat deposit?

I just got my award offer today. Do people think that means I have to deposit immediately to keep it or do I have until the 15th?

Accepted way back in February. My scholly info must have gone to my Spam, because today I all of a sudden discovered that I'm getting $20k a year from GW. But I've already basically decided I'm going to ASU (my undergrad school, who has still not gotten back to me yet). And cost was a major part of that decision. Should I eat the $500 to accept merit scholarships by midnight and buy myself some time to actually make an educated decision?

I would. ASU needs to hurry their asses because I'm in a similar boat.denglese wrote:Accepted way back in February. Seriously. And I can't wait to use my GW scholarship as a bargaining chip with ASU after they've dragged this out for so long. I was sure I'd be ending up staying here in Tempe, but after this nightmare experience with ASU Law, I'm becoming less certain by the day.teiswei wrote:I would. Weird question, but is it possible to have my full-time acceptance reconsidered to part-time? (An out of nowhere job opportunity might pop up)

Yes. I talked to Dean Maggs about this at Preview Day, he said that full-time admits can switch to part-time no problem. The only issue is merit scholarships - the full-time and part-time scholarship pools are separate, so you'd have to be reconsidered in the part-time pool if you've got a scholarship for full-time.b123 wrote:Weird question, but is it possible to have my full-time acceptance reconsidered to part-time? I have to doubt that they will, just given the level that they've stretched themselves so far already this year - they had all of their merit money offered by early March (or at least they claimed to), which left a lot of qualified admits (myself and some of y'all included) without any money from GWU while being offered piles of cash from other places. That said, if they consider re-takes in June, I'm definitely signing up.SteelPenguin wrote:I would like to know this too. I'm retaking, also sent in a negotiation email today. Regarding increased offers, I talked to Dean Sim yesterday - she said that they're hoping to get re-consideration offers out by Friday.

I was emailing with them back-and-forth last week and on Friday they said they hoped to send out reconsideration offers (or in my case, a first offer after being offered 0) sometime this week or, at latest, early next week.

Re: George Washington c/o 2016
Question for the masses: I received an email about my Financial Aid Award yesterday evening, however nothing in appears in the Award Letter area after I log-in to my Gweb account and select the 2013-2014 year. Does it take a few hours/days for the information to show up, or should contact the financial aid department?
Thanks for any help!

Any word on scholarship reconsideration offers yet? Are we expecting anything tomorrow since GW said they would try to get them out this week, or is next week more likely at this point?

They told me they would review mine on Friday, so I'm expecting to hear either Friday night or Monday-Tuesday.hopelessoptimist wrote:Any word on scholarship reconsideration offers yet?
