Top Law Schools

They have a "modified" rolling admissions process, so I wasn't counting on needing this thread so soon, but I got accepted yesterday afternoon via email. They received my application on 9/10, and it went complete on 9/24.

Checking in.

Applied last week in September, haven't gone complete yet. I'm guessing they're just waiting for the paper copy of my application because all my LORs are in. Status checker is blank?

What are your numbers, drinion? (if you don't mind me asking)

I got my acceptance email yesterday. (Submitted 9/19; went complete 9/20)

Cumulative GPA: 3.543
Degree Granting GPA: 3.86
LSAT: 169

Still waiting to hear from 9 other schools. Money will play a big part in deciding where I go.

To those of you that have already been accepted or those that just applied:

Did your status checker change at all? (i.e. go "Incomplete," "Complete," etc. before you were accepted)
I sent in my app early last week, and my status has been blank the whole time.

I only checked the checker once before I was accepted because I assumed it wasn't going to change much until a lot later in the cycle, and I don't remember what it said. I just checked it again, and it says "File is Complete and in Review Process". I received my acceptance letter and scholly offer in the mail today, so...

I sent my application in to W&M on Sept. 3 and went complete on Sept. 7. I also heard back from them on Oct. 4. Considering LSP and LSAC predictors gave me between a 2 and 15% chance of getting in I was shocked to hear back so quickly and to be admitted with a small scholly. My numbers are LSAC GPA 3.15 (3.36) and 164. I did have three solid LORs, good work experience and I think I ended up with a really good personal statement as well.

Who is considering going to William and Mary?

I'm seriously considering it. I am waiting to hear back from 9 other schools, and if a higher-ranked school offers me significant money as well, I might have to go there. I would love to go to William and Mary, but with less than half-tuition fin-aid offered, I don't know if I can swing a school ranked in the mid-30s...hopefully that ranking will go back up this year, as well.

I'm very seriously interested in going into some sort of public interest law (I'm going to narrow that down after some clinical work at school), so their price tag is pretty appealing. Their proximity to DC is also helpful, but I'm not entirely sure I want to go there straight out of school. Overall, I love the area, and I think I would be happy there, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's where I end up. I'm still waiting to hear back from every other school that I applied to though, so I'll have to see how things work out.

I am definitely considering W&M. Obviously I didn't think I would get in so they weren't at the top of my list. Depending on how the rest of the application cycle goes, I may just end up attending.

My file was sent and completed on Oct 22, and it is under review on Oct 24. So fast, can't believe it.

Yeah! Mine went UR two days after I submitted it! It has been UR for almost 2 weeks now. Not very optimistic about my chances but I appreciate that speedy turn around!

I also didn't expect to need this thread so soon, but I went complete yesterday and got the acceptance today!

Admitted on 10/22; packet came on 10/23 with a scholarship offer. Seriously considering W&M.
