This provides lots of good info, but is also INCREDIBLY misleading. current tuition is $29,900 for residents, $39,900 for non-residents.

signed, a 3L who just had a stroke over her tuition bill.

161 LSAT, 3.51 GPA. Strong softs, worked all throughout undergrad, and really good personal statement from what many have told me. Any chance at a scholarship here? Thanks for y'all's help!!!

I say we'll here back probably by mid December. Sent in app on Friday as well. Although I plan to retake LSAT in December. If I end up attending UH, I'd really want some form of scholarships.

Checking in. 158 - hoping my softs are strong enough. Retaking in December regardless.

I was accepted last cycle with an LSAT slightly above median and a gpa near their 75th and did not get a scholarship. They are incredibly stingy, check LSN and don't expect any money unless your numbers are above and beyond.

They just confirmed I'm a resident of Texas. Hopefully, this is the start of the approval process.

I'm an OOSer, but Houston really looks like the place to be. Hoping they shell out a little coin to make it a little more reasonable financially, though...

Went under review today, so we'll see :-)

Very stingy when it comes to big schollys, to all those looking for moneys. Over 70% get some aid but only about 5% get half tuition or more.

I was looking at LSN though and some high LSATs with low GPAs get decent $$$. I guess it's because they appear to not play the game of giving them out to take them back...Oh well, both my numbers are above their 75% so we'll see what happens....

Probably a stupid question (and bad form for a first post), but does anyone know if UHLC and/or STCL offer scholarships for part-timers?

I've read that UH is pretty stingy, so I doubt my chances for extra cash are particularly good with just 163 and 3.43, but I'm an chemical engineer with 6.5 years experience in the upstream oil & gas industry, which might count for something.

Honestly, I've heard both are incredibly stingy, and it looks like, with your numbers, you're hitting at right about their medians so I wouldn't expect anything life changing. I don't think that work experience is a game changer when it comes to giving out scholly info but that's just my observation and I'm not totally sure so someone else might have more of a concrete answer. Nonetheless, best of luck to you!

Also, anyone know how long it takes for decisions to come? I just went under review too and I'd say maybe a couple of weeks? Not that I have any chance of getting accepted, but still it would lessen the anxiety considerably.

You should probably get about 10K a year and that offer probably won't come for another couple of months.

this question may or may not have an obvious answer, i don't know (the anxiety is getting to me), but does anyone know what classifies as URM at UH? just curious. is it just what is traditionally defined as URM in general?
