Has anyone successfully solicited a merit-based fee waiver?

Checking in. Love Cali, if LA weren't so sucky and SC's employment stats weren't so sucky this would be a lot higher on my list. BTW I can't find a single reason to favor UCLA over USC, USC seems better in every regard, minus location. Can anyone else?
OP please put some pretty pictures and useful information in the first post. Thanks in advance!

Biglaw placement is pretty good but what do you do if you don't get biglaw like the majority of the class? I wouldn't pay sticker at USC but it certainly is worth it if you can bring the cost down. And if you can stomach living in LA for the rest of your life and being forever a part of the evil empire that is the "Trojan Network."
J/k. I give USC a hard time but I think it's a good school if it's at a good price and it is high on my list. Still trying to figure out why anyone would favor UCLA over it.

Probably the because the UCLA is beautiful and in an awesome part of town where USC buildings and location are "eh"

Picking a law school based on campus location is an excellent idea.

Both are peer schools. Why not choose the one with the nicer campus and facilities?
Not to rag on USC, since I would love to attend.

Congrats, numbers twin. You feeling good about our chances? I'm a bit concerned that their GPA median went up past 3.7.
