Same here, I am currently second committee reading. I wonder how many invitations they send, considering the scholarship is only for one person..WhatOurBodiesAreFor wrote:Just received an email inviting me to apply for the "Rothman" scholarship. Anyone else?
They said they were inviting me to apply "based on my strong academic record", but even though they acknowledged their having reviewed my application, the email did not include a decision.

I'm still stuck on complete, and that's been the case since 11/6. Anyone else in the same boat?

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
All,
I have created a spreadsheet to try and calm the nerves of those of us whom scour LSN on the daily and come back with heightened anxiety. I can be guilty of this but I have put my analytics experience to good use and have realized something quite important: LSN isn't necessarily representative.
For example, USC's 2012 Cycle had less than 9% of the total applicant pool and less than 13% for the school's 1457 acceptances. In light of this, I have broken down all the numbers to show what discrepancies, if any, there may be. Fortunately for myself and all of you, there are.
It appears that the LSN applicant pool has slightly higher numbers across the board than the true 25th, median, and 75th of USC's cycle. Please see the attached spreadsheet and let me know if you have any questions or would like to see anything else.

Cheers!
P.S. Let me know if the link doesn't work...

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
Well if this year will be anything like last cycle, there should be an email coming basically wishing a happy holiday and alluding to an acceptance on the way. This will probably go out to people under 1st or 2nd committee review with strong numbers. Last year, people received the email on December 20th. Good luck everyone!
