Just throw it away  I have a vested interest in you taking UT over Vandy haha.

Does anyone know how easy it is to live in Nashville without a car?

Sad I know this and i am waitlisted.

Vandy factors car into cost of living. It is a driving city and and I was told that I would need a car. Most ppl live between a 5-10 minute drive fro
Campus.

From the south and have been to Nash a few times. It's a car city, but not as much as ATL is. You could probably find some good public transportation to and from Vandy but it's the groceries and other related stuff that might be hard. Go visit and make the decision for yourself though!

You're definitely going to want a car or a roommate with a car. The roads aren't exactly pedestrian friendly, and the bus system is pretty lacking. Also, they only have one train line and it only services the suburbs on the east side of town.

Would Vandy at full sticker be worth it? My parents will pay for my tuition, but I would feel bad if they wasted their money :( At what price is Vandy a good option?

It depends how loaded your parents are IMO. If they can just drop 200k and not worry about it, then paying sticker at Vandy wouldn't be the worst. You should definitely retake if you have any attempts left though. A few more points would have you looking at a totally different range of schools.

Decision mailed 5/9 for me. My last hail-mary app. Hoping for a wait-list but expecting a ding. My cycle has been kinda odd, though, so who knows. Anyone else with 5/9?

Aw man that sucks. I sent an LOCI like 2 or 3 weeks before they made a decision, but probably to no avail. I wish they'd e-mail dings.

IMO no way does sticker at vandy outweight your scholarships I know you have at other schools.

Aaaand there it is. WL letter received today, sent 5/8.

This makes Vandy the sixth T15 school at which I have been WL'ed.

Yea, Vandy is my top choice. I visited yesterday.

However, things don't look good for all of us on the WL with marginal numbers. PM for more specifics

Ya, but it's going to be difficult because I sent in a "Why Vandy" with my app.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
