Also CT, but I don't know if USPS is working today. UPS and FedEx came by, though, but I doubt they'd send rejection letters via those companies.ssanonymous wrote:My campus is shutdown, so no mail for me. Anyone from CT here? I'm sure you'll here first if letters went out yesterday.

Just got rejected via email:
First person to get dinged by Yale? What an honorDear Mr. Elshal,
We regret that we are unable to offer you admission for the fall of 2013. This year the Law School expects to receive approximately 2,500 applications for an entering class of 200 students. Given this ratio, many highly-qualified applicants have to be turned away. The faculty, all of whom read admissions files, work hard to reach these difficult decisions as fairly as possible, knowing the outcome will inevitably prove disappointing to many people.
Thank you for your continued patience throughout the admissions process. We appreciate your interest in Yale Law School and extend to you our best wishes for the future.
Sincerely,
Craig Janecek
Director of Admissions

UVA waitlisted me for UG and LS. Stupid Thomas Jefferson and his beautiful campus. This is my first straight-up rejection. So Cambridge it is for me.jcan91 wrote:First school rejection ever....Bleh.LaMuSayonga wrote:First official ding of the cycle. Damn. *sniff*

You mean applicants? I applied in Jan and have received nothing. I think they just haven't gotten to our applications yet (three faculty reviewers probably take a bit of time).robot_socrates wrote:I'm sorry guys. Did any January admits get dinged? Hmm, November complete. Silence, still.
WL? Maybe hope still exists? Or the axe just takes longer to fall?
