Just submitted! Last one. Good luck everyone. Do you think there's a chance we can get some answers before Christmas?

The scatter plot chart at the beginning of this forum is the most depressing thing I've ever seen, and that's coming from somebody with good numbers to begin with. If we can trust the admit graph at the beginning, it looks like 1/3 of the class will fill by mid-January. Of course, that's based on last year's Oct. 1 application date, and there was no Hurricane Sandy last year.

For those of you who have already submitted, what did you do for the work/activities attachment that they ask for? It just says to list activities and jobs along with the time spent on each, but I'm wondering if we should include a description as well. Thanks and I wish everyone good luck!

(YLS 1L) Either way is fine, though there should probably be descriptions either on that form or a resume you attach. Every year, no one knows what to do with that stupid attachment, but I think some of the profs must be very attached to it. It wouldn't be the first bizarre institutional tradition they keep around basically because some of the powerful faculty are used to it (like for instance, having finals *after* Christmas break).ColeWorld wrote:For those of you who have already submitted, what did you do for the work/activities attachment that they ask for? I put the company name, dates I was there, my position, hours per week, a brief one-liner about the company, and another one-liner about my primary responsibilities. Not sure if it's right but it seems that Yale leaves everything so open-ended that you can't really know for sure.ColeWorld wrote:For those of you who have already submitted, what did you do for the work/activities attachment that they ask for? I did something similar so I'm just gonna leave it at that and attach my usual resume, as well. Thanks!Mr. Elshal wrote:I put the company name, dates I was there, my position, hours per week, a brief one-liner about the company, and another one-liner about my primary responsibilities. Elston Gunn, I figured it must have been some sort of tradition with all of the other schools just using the designated LSAC application section for work and extracurriculars. Also I recognize your name from LawSchoolNumbers since we have similar stats. Hopefully my cycle goes as well as yours did!

Would it be redundant to put descriptions on both? (Well, obviously I guess it would be redundant. But should I do it anyway?)Elston Gunn wrote:(YLS 1L) Either way is fine, though there should probably be descriptions either on that form or a resume you attach. ^^Really doesn't matter. All of the things to stress about re: Yale, this should be close to last on your list.
But, just to be clear to anyone who may read this later, it's very important that you submit the form with the info they ask for; it just doesn't matter how you interpret what else to put or not put on there.

Got an e-mail from Yale stating that LSAC had notified them that I had applied, and that they should have my report from LSAC within a week.

It was offered to me via email because I missed an info session at my alma mater by YLS (b/c I'm no longer there). I think it's meant to be an aggregate of all such people from schools they've visited thus far.
It was a nice presentation by the dean, followed by some Q&A. Most questions were understandably admissions-related.

Submitted about a week ago... obviously a massive reach. Hoping that my softs + recs manage to get me a waitlist, at least, and then a December retake helps to pull me over the hump.
