At this point in the cycle, how long should I wait before sending a LOCI?

Re: DePaul c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
IMO, given that DePaul makes decisions within 2-3 weeks, I would say within a couple weeks of being waitlisted. I think bringing your file back to the top as they review a new group of applicants with a LOCI as a supplement would be a positive strategy.1984 wrote:At this point in the cycle, how long should I wait before sending a LOCI?

Cool. Good luck. I'm about 3 days behind you so I'll look for something tomorrow or Monday. It's really nice that DePaul offers such a short turnaround window.nmlf16 wrote:Submitted 1/11 and complete on 1/18. Admitted today via status checker/email. "Decision rendered" this morning followed by update to status checker and email about 3 hours later. Anxious to see scholarship info. Anybody know if they do a travel stipend?

This is a little strange. So I had the "Decision in 2-3 weeks" on my status checker for the past 10 days or so. This morning it updated to 2/2, "Application in Review." Bizarre that it's updating on a Saturday. Is this an indication of anything?

I updated to that over last weekend and was admitted on Friday.
"Travel stipend" refers to the fact that some schools will pay for or help pay for your travel to visit their school once you are admitted.

With your numbers, the only way I'd go to DePaul is on a full ride.romanticegotist wrote:In with 30k/year and no GPA stipulation.

Also, this is silly--couldn't they have just waited to update the decisions, rather than leaving it at "rendered?" Seems like less work, actually.
EDIT: In.
