When my D selected Miami Law over other like ranked law schools I thought that she may have made a mistake until we visited UMiami Law at which time I understood that Miami is a respected University with a big time campus with a law school headed in the right direction. I believe my D made a smart decision selecting Miami Law.
Thus far my D has found the curriculum at Miami Law to be demanding with tons of work (as she expected) but the students have not shown themselves to be cutthroat as she feared.

First of all, congrats. Mind if I ask if you're planning on attending? Just wondering b/c with those numbers you could easily get $$$ from UF or FSU or likely get into a ton of T25s. Just curious.Mdenis1 wrote:Hey guys! Im in as well

Hey! I applied at mid sept. I havent decided yet if ill attend. It will depend if iget into the other schools ive applied to ( uf fsu + mostly t14 berkeley yale stanford harvard nyu columbia ucla etc). ill also wait to see if umiami will offer me a meritbased scholarship. I am not eligible for need-based grants (canadian applicant) and therefore if i don't get any money from umiami i would have to pay sticker, which i doubt it's worth, especially if other schools more highly ranked offer me money.

Application put on hold via status checker which I found confusing. I think it's because they are waiting for my new October LSAT to come in.
