APPLICATION PROCEDURE
To apply for admission, you must submit:
-The completed and signed application for admission (apply online through LSAC).
- Two letters of recommendation, to be submitted through the LSAC Letter of Recommendation service. We prefer that these letters be from college professors who can attest to your ability to enter a rigorous academic program. If you have been out of school for some time, letters from employers may be helpful. The Letter of Recommendation service is included in your CAS registration subscription. The letter will be sent electronically along with your CAS report. To use this service, follow the directions for submitting letters outlined on the LSAC.org website.
-A personal statement. We are interested particularly in learning about your motivation and preparation for the study of law as well as any circumstances that you believe relevant to the evaluation of your credentials.
-The $75 non-refundable application fee.
-Official transcripts of all collegiate, graduate and professional study directly to the CAS.

I've browsed through the BU/BC OCI thread but its a small sample size. Maybe current students can weigh in? Anyone in the area and planning to visit?

Applying.
The LST data seems to show that BC is the clear winner in employment stats in comparison to BU. What stinks is that BC is not in the city...

I agree, especially the 2011 stats.
Yeah it's technically not in the city but you can live in the city and attend with relative ease, even if you dont have a car (though having a car makes it easier)

Spoke with a buddy from Quincy today, town right outside of Boston. He told me it is around a 45 min train ride from newport to boston and has the most stops of all of the lines. It is however a 8 min drive.

Hi everyone. I'm attending a tour at BC on Friday (a class then a tour) so if there is anything you'd like me to ask or find out, please let me know. Thanks!

Alan! Looks like we're almost number twins. Which school are you most looking forward to? Also, is BC known for handing out fee waivers? Perhaps I'll email them Monday...

Hey iMisto. Your posts have been cracking me up lately. I visited both BU and BC and I actually really love BC so far. I didn't dislike BU at all but I think BC is my top choice. Of course if I get into Cornell it may change things but I'd like to stay in Boston.
I've asked twice to BC but since the apps arent open they cant process them-- but in short, yes they give them out. I'd email them maybe not Monday (I just emailed yesterday) but maybe thurs because they said "end of Sept". People in the office are very nice though.

Don't you think Cornell could definitely get you back to Boston? Or are you looking to stay there for school? Or maybe you're looking for $$?? Cornell is definitely my favorite.
Thx for the tip. I'll send them an email Monday morning!

I'm at least 50% sure that BC Law is located in Newton, Mass. Upscale town, not far from Boston at all. I'd have a car if possible though.
Newport is in Rhode Island. If you are going to school there, there's a good chance you're attending Roger Williams

Medians are down far enough for BC to be at a 164? Wish I had applied a couple of cycles later now.

Checking in!
Just looked at the app on lsac. Do they actually require 4 LORs/Evals or am I reading this wrong?
"Required:
2 LORs and 0 Evaluations
2 additional documents which can be either LORs or Evaluations (Pay attention to accepted numbers).
Total required: 4
Accepted:
up to 4 LORs and/or 3 Evaluations
Total accepted cannot exceed: 6"
If that is true, it is a major bummer. It's been crazy just trying to get two professors to get their letters in.

I just called admissions because I was freaking out too. The lady on the phone said that it was a mistake and they hadn't noticed it. They should be fixing it shortly. I think it is supposed to say that they will accept an additional 2 documents, but that only 2 LORs are required. I feel sooo much better now.

Thank you for calling! I assumed that was the deal, but I started to freak out when I saw the 4 required!
Has anyone successfully solicited a merit-based fee waiver from BC yet?

No, no, no...I was just saying that if a solid T25 like BC has a 164 median, that is unbelievable how far things have come down from when I applied. I was flat out rejected from BC with a 3.68/168. Though it may be because they secretly resent me for transferring out in UG.
