when did you apply? I'm in the same boat. applied late Jan. and still havent heard a thing.
have you had date changes in the status checker? i've had 3. (early feb, mid march, april 4)
do you think this means anything at this point in the cycle? how quick are they to reject/waitlist?

Anyone knows how WL candidates are being contacted? I'm overseas for at least the next month and maybe until Aug and was wondering if they call or email.
thanks!
thanks!

They generally email to notify you of an acceptance.JayJones78 wrote:Anyone knows how WL candidates are being contacted? I'm overseas for at least the next month and maybe until Aug and was wondering if they call or email.

Yep. And depending on how late in the season it is, they'll send out an email testing the waters, asking if you would still attend if you don't receive scholarship money, prior to offering admission.JayJones78 wrote:off of the WL?30-Something wrote:They generally email to notify you of an acceptance.JayJones78 wrote:Anyone knows how WL candidates are being contacted? I've had two "Application Complete"s in the past few days, one on Tuesday and then again today. No idea what it might mean.Poodle222 wrote:when did you apply? I'm in the same boat. applied late Jan. and still havent heard a thing.

has any1 asked and received an extension for deposits? If yes how did you go about it? I still haven't heard back from 2 schools and would love if I didn't have to double deposit.

Re: Fordham c/o 2016/17 (2012-2013 Cycle)
So, my friend had lunch with a dean and some other Fordham muckety-mucks. They were asking her for money.
The good news is that Fordham confirmed that last year they went deep into their WL (like hundreds of people deep), so that's somewhat positive...(negative in that it's hundreds of people, positive in that they went through it).
Also, since Fordham was kind enough to confirm via email this AM that my "Financial Aid Award Letter" which essentially said, "Congratulations, you are eligible for a TON of loans!" was not a mistake, I will likely not be attending.
The deans confirmed to my friend that they will be giving money only to splitters and reverse splitters, and probably not much money to other folks at all.
This was very disheartening and made me sad, since I am a run of the mill, hit the medians kind of gal.
Just wanted to share the intelligence though, and give some hope to the WLers. Fordham at sticker is not something I can fathom. I close my eyes see only poverty in my future.
I will likely withdraw (and not open up any $$$, but at least, it's a spot). Good luck to those who have their hearts set on Manhattan!

Thanks for the insight. Your waitlist story is encouraging. Hopefully they go deep again this year.RedGiant wrote:So, my friend had lunch with a dean and some other Fordham muckety-mucks. They were asking her for money.

Is anyone else trying to decide between Fordham at sticker (or with a modest scholarship) and BLS or Cardozo with a full ride or a considerable scholarship? I think this is a relatively common situation to be in and I'd really like to discuss it over PM to weigh the pros and cons if anyone is interested.

+1 but slightly different situation - still on the wait-list at Fordham, but still means I'll be paying sticker. I assume others got the update email? Sounded like PT WL will see some action soon and for FT WLers to be patient. I could be wrong, that's the impression that I got.
