Everything would have been fine and good if it wasn't for the "decision mailed date: 2/1" on the AJD website. If it wasn't there I may have been anxious about the decision not coming etc but I would pretty much leave it alone unit I hear from them. Here they put a specific date and people prepare themselves accordingly. In my case I am trying to make a real decision if to stay where I live or move somewhere else until school starts but in the event that I (hopefully) get into NU it would make no sense cause school starts much earlier. All I can hope for is that this delay will get my foot in the door. I really want this and think the AJD is a great fit for me.quantum_leaps wrote:yupp called around 12ish todayJayJones78 wrote:Yah I was wondering if the call was today, but sadly I assume it isDmini7 wrote:Assuming you called today I can just go ahead and go to sleep so I don't worry about this all day.quantum_leaps wrote:to all my fellow ajd applicants who are still waiting for a decision,

IF ONLY. in a perfect world i could have submitted my rendition of the chicken dance and landed a full scholarship to NU. Alas....hhockberger wrote:Whoops! I plan to spell out competing offers in sushi on my body and just sprawl out on the table in admissions until someone matches an offer.az21833 wrote:When does nu merit aid (non ed, non defer) come out? With financial aid or prior or later? March?
If you want to let them know ab an offer, do you just email the general admissions address or is there a better way?

But I think it's March-ish. NU is kinda slow on the money front as I understand it.

Let's hope no Tuesday news means Wed news (at least for the AJDs with our past due deadline)?alwayssunnyinfl wrote:Sorry guys. Hopefully they'll step it up soon
Write it. If you are on the bubble, all things being equal, they want to know why NU is a match for you.I just posted this in another thread but it totally applies to Northwestern too and i'd really appreciate some feedback.
Is it common to write a why NU essay? I didn't know it was an option and since I'm on the edge it would definitely be useful for me, but how would I go about sending that? Do I just send it to admissions and tell them that I've attached a LOCI? Would that screw me over if I'm waitlisted (which is what I'm hoping will happen) and then have little to talk about when I actually need to send a LOCI?
My interview was about 2 weeks ago so my app just recently became complete. I don't wanna keep slowing down my file but if this helps I think it would be beneficial overall. Thoughts?

Mine is on AJD decisions today. Not sure about the rest. It's 5 days past their 1/2 deadlinehhockberger wrote:Yeah my money is on Thursday.mrizza wrote:I'm starting to think the Thursday decisions last week may have pushed their weekly batches to Thursdays for now. So m betting no news today.

I would think Thursday, earliest, but they will likely do a big batch on Friday. Especially if they don't release any AJD decisions today, I would say they will do everything on Friday. Obviously just meaningless speculation.mrizza wrote:I'm starting to think the Thursday decisions last week may have pushed their weekly batches to Thursdays for now. So m betting no news today.

I think they're working as fast as they can already, so the deadline doesn't change anything.JayJones78 wrote:Mine is on AJD decisions today. Not sure about the rest.
