Not by a comp right now, it might have been all of Cali not just SF.WhiskeynCoke wrote:Forgive me, but I've fished around Mylsn for a bit and I can't seem to figure out how you're generating this statistic. I only see a "proximity to state" category (which seems to refer to how physically close the school is to the selected state). Where's the "SF Biglaw" category? Can you link it? Is it this site?Dude, as I've already mentioned today, NU is the 3rd best school for San Fran big law behind Stanford then Berkeley. Go to mylsn personalized ranking, make everything 100+ attorney firms and San Fran location, and try it. Depending in changing the numbers around it may change, but NU is generally way up there.

60k too.
I'm pretty disappointed, to be honest.
ETA: I'm thankful they made an offer, but it's less than higher ranked schools and NU is more expensive anyway. I was really excited about them, but it's not going to work with that amount...

Seems like schollies are getting smaller and smaller as the day wears on (120s, then 90s, now 60s). Kinda worried if I don't hear this week

I honestly have no idea why I got so much. Some 1ls were saying how NU responds well to those who show interest, and I def did that a lot (and met some adcoms at an admitted students dinner). That's really all that explains it.hohenheim wrote:60k too.

Hopefully they see MRizza's and some others crazy commitment too

Last year they all dropped in a very short time period. If we don't hear tomorrow we're probably SOL.aiaea wrote:Seems like schollies are getting smaller and smaller as the day wears on (120s, then 90s, now 60s). Kinda worried if I don't hear this week

15k more than i got hehe, probably an instance where last cycle you'd have been sticker but they're trying to spread the wealth around with the 25% more this year. I hope you hear from them soon. Yeah, I really appreciate the offer. Going to have to think hard about this one. It's between NU and USC w/ $$$ for me but I'm leaning towards just going to NUmrizza wrote:15k more than i got hehe, probably an instance where last cycle you'd have been sticker but they're trying to spread the wealth around with the 25% more this year. I got it when the other 60ks got there's but I didn't immediately jump on TLS because I try not to post and drivemrizza wrote:you just get it? or from earlier? and sorry it wasn't moreBigZuck wrote:Also 60K. Sad, I really wanted to go to NU. Oh well I guess.
And that was kind of a douchey thing for me to say, I'm glad I got offered something it's just that Chicago is expensive and tuition at NU is high and I'm not sure Northwestern is worth 15K more than Duke especially for my own situation. I'll think about it this weekend and then decide what I'm going to do. If anything I'm glad to see the cycle is winding down!
Congrats Shifty and others! And good luck to those still waiting!
