SLS will accept Carbon only to have Carbon decline a week later. The forces in Cambridge and New Haven are too strong!

Re: Stanford C/O 2016 Applicants Thread
I e-mailed my landlady and she said that my apartment's already been re-rented. Cry. My refresh button on LS Status Checker has never gotten more action than it is getting now!amonthofsundays wrote:Well it is pretty clear that they are trying to find a way to give you a phone call, hopefully the "too happy" ASW folks will withdraw and make that happen very soon. You clearly deserve it, even though it would be a little bit crazy for you to not just renew that lease and go to Y.

If only they'd given me an answer before ASW so I could fall in love again with the California weather of my adolescence...ssanonymous wrote:SLS will accept Carbon only to have Carbon decline a week later. The forces in Cambridge and New Haven are too strong!

It's funny that three applicants getting decisions = wave for SLS. I wonder how many apps they have left.

I realize this may be a stupid question but is it GOOD if your status checker is down, or does it not really mean anything?

Have we ever had any reports of people getting calls without going lowercase?

damn. seems like DLS today might actually be a good thing. they might be filtering their WL list out of the reject stack, and then dumping the rest laterGoodman wrote:DLS. Called in. Wait list.

do we know if the DLSs came out around the same time? Can I stop refreshing?

You're not going to call? I don't think I could deal with that wait.smdpnp wrote:Does it have to be in red? Oh well, gonna wait until it arrives to see if it's a ding or WL.A decision letter has been sent.
