With KB? Jeez man, take a breath!jselson wrote:People with short and long interviews have gotten in. I don't think it matters. I only got three questions, but the interview went for 17 mins. It just depends if you're more direct or conversational as an interviewee, I'd imagine. But I doubt it makes a difference for selections.pixelated wrote:Just had my interview with KB! Thought it went well and I felt like I gave solid answers but it was only 13 and a half minutes...she was really nice but I felt like she was rushing me through the questions. I had answered all 5 of her questions in about 7-8 minutes or so leaving me half the interview time to ask her questions which threw me off. I asked 5 questions before it ended. Does anyone know if a shorter interview is bad? She was also 3 minutes late so maybe she was trying to make up for a bit of lost time? I don't know! Ahhh!

I think you'll be fine, its a natural reaction to be self-critical after something so important.

When did you get your JS1?amonthofsundays wrote:Don't feel bad. I had a very similar experience.pixelated wrote:Just had my interview with KB! Edit: But I am still a JS1 so if anything we can just wait in solidarity.
And thanks guys...I know I'm probably over-analyzing but it just threw me off that a short interview was even shorter...

I know that HLS accepts late applications. Would there be any harm in submitting a late application this cycle and would I be at a disadvantage reapplying next cycle?

Incorrect. I will take both of these bets and shall make $0.10 at SLS's ASWcarboncopyx wrote:5 cents that there will be no JS2s this week.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Whats your bet?

My b. I just zoned in on the JS2 part and wrote off Friday as hold/ding day. In that case, I don't think there will be JS2s on Friday--that would be pretty uncharacteristic.vzapana wrote:Mischaracterization of my terms. Said no news - js1 or js2 - until Friday

Nah, brah. Then she might just call you more out of confusion and for "closure." Ain't nobody got time for that!ManOfTheMinute wrote:my phone vibrated

By bumping this thread, I made everyone, momentarily, think that JS2s were going out but then crushed their hopes and dreams. I am the puppet master of your emotions.
Edit: in the 5 minutes since I posted this, the thread has been viewed 37 times. Victory. Also, TLS is OCD.

I'm curious how KB rushes things along. Does she cut off responses or use strong body language? I'm concerned because I have long answers planned for some of the more difficult questions I'm likely to be asked and that could really throw me. Maybe I need a tl;dr version.

I didn't personally feel rushed. But it was sporadic.. if that's the right word? Like if you have a long answer, she's not going to then turn that into a starting point for conversation. It'll be on to Question #2.pedestrian wrote:I'm curious how KB rushes things along. Does she cut off responses or use strong body language? For me it was kind of like when I finished a full thought she would acknowledge it in some way like say uh huh or right and then go straight into another question even though I could have continued talking after, if that makes sense.bob loblaw11 wrote:I didn't personally feel rushed.
