Application Deadlines
Georgetown Law accepts J.D. Regular and Early Decision applications to begin in the fall only. Applicants may apply Regular Decision or Early Decision (Binding).
Georgetown Law is not currently accepting applications for Fall 2013 admission. We will begin accepting applications for Fall 2013 admission on September 15, 2012. Because of the large number of applications we receive and our rolling admissions system, it is to your advantage to complete your application as early as possible in the application cycle. Please note that applications will not be reviewed unless all required documentation has been received (please see application requirements).
Application Deadlines for Fall 2013 Admission
September 15, 2012: First day J.D. Regular and Early Decision applications accepted for Fall 2013

Part-time Program:
Is the part-time degree the same as the full-time degree?
Yes. Aside from the number of credits and time of the courses (evening), part-time students receive the same opportunities to pursue clinics, journals and moot court.
Are the professors who teach part-time courses the same as those that teach full-time?
Yes. Full-time faculty rotate and teach both full-time and part-time courses.
Is it harder to schedule all the classes you want to take because the offerings are more limited in the evening?
No. Generally, Georgetown tries to offer the same courses during the day and evening.
Do prospective employers favor full-time students over part-time students?
No. Employers do not distinguish between full-time and part-time students. However, fewer part-time students elect to participate in the summer associate program because of their work commitments.
May part-time students participate in journals, moot court and clinics?
Yes. All Georgetown Law J.D. students are eligible.
May I transfer to the full-time program?
Students will be permitted to transfer from the part-time to the full-time program only in cases of a demonstrated significant change in circumstances. Under the current policy, the ability to switch programs once you start is by no means guaranteed and is determined on a case-by-case basis. Please see the Georgetown Law Bulletin for additional information.

Same here and nothing wrong with that although G-Town is probably my least favorite of the T14 (rankings aside). Enrollment is huge and I wish the law school was in Georgetown just to get the campus feel.

Totally agree with you on all points...
It's the JD print factory. Really, though, the more I look into G-Town the less appealing it seems compared to Northwestern, Cornell, and even some of the sub-T14s. Still a great program, but probably not for those who want an intimate environment.

Just to inform that they are really serious about the full time/part time enrollment this year. I went to one of their info sessions and they basically said that they will not allow transferring from one programme to another unless the person showed dire straits or whatever because of abuse of the system in the past.

I know this wasn't directed towards me, but I have successfully solicited multiple times and I just kept it really simple. Basically:
Hello,
I was wondering if X awarded solicited merit-based fee waivers, and if so, if I would qualify. My GPA is 1.02 and my LSAT is 123. My LSAC account number is 12344321. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Eich
Or something like that.

Thanks. I am going to get on that like tomorrow since some T14 schools already have apps up.

Well that was cool; GULC took all of 35 minutes to give me a fee waiver.
