Have sent 3 (three, tres, mpu) withdrawal e-mails and have not received any confirmation.

Well the first one got me an out-of-office automatic message and asked me to resend my message after the specified date.
Second one came after that date. Third one was a politely worded 'perhaps this was missed' resend.

Yeah, no, just leave it. Your withdrawal is a courtesy to them, not a requirement on your part.Tekrul wrote:Well the first one got me an out-of-office automatic message and asked me to resend my message after the specified date.

Me either. I haven't heard a peep from the general admissions e-mail or Dean Richards personal e-mail.JamesDean1955 wrote:So...she's not out? Re: UVA c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
No, I'm pretty sure she's out. I sent an email last Thursday asking if the lack of email containing a scholarship offer meant that I wouldn't be receiving one. I got a response on Saturday that I responded to (to which I received an auto out-of-office until Wed. response) and then received my scholarship info today. So, I guess her being out of office doesn't necessarily preclude us from receiving a scholarship offer? I'm not sure. It seems like things are a bit confusing right now due to the amount of money given out at the beginning of the cycle, so they're trying to recoup. If all else fails, just email and ask. If there's hope of you getting money, they may extend the deposit deadline for you.

Fwiw, if you look back at last year's thread, you'll see that last year UVA also played this same game with scholarships. There's multiple people in the c/o 2015 applicants thread who ended up withdrawing after UVA never responded to their scholarship inquiries.
This isn't what we want to hear, but it's worth putting out there. At this point if you haven't heard, and you will only attend UVA with $, you might consider making alternate plans...

For those interested, a link to the aforementioned c/o 2015 thread (starting on the pertinent page): http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... start=2250MyNameIsFlynn! wrote:Fwiw, if you look back at last year's thread, you'll see that last year UVA also played this same game with scholarships. The whole admissions team has been really nice and helpful overall, but straight-up not responding is all kinds of rude (especially after that "will let you know early next week" e-mail on the 9th).

Re: UVA c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
I also received a scholly offer from Dean Richard earlier this week after sending a competitive offer last week. Reading about other attempts to negotiate with UVA, I was not expecting a response so I don't know why they are responding to some and ignoring others or why they are telling some people that scholarship funds have been depleted.
To say this has been handled poorly is an understatement.

I just called the number for admissions:Jaqen wrote:Call in imo.JamesDean1955 wrote:Nothing here...sigh.
"UVA Law admissions."
"Hi, is Dean Richard available?"
"Hello, hello?... I can't hear you, your phone must not be working.."
I literally started laughing at this point. Called again twice with the same result. I just spent an hour on the phone so I know it's not me, but I guess I'll borrow a phone from a friend later this afternoon. So absurd it was kind of funny. If you don't want to talk to me, at least come up with a better excuse than cell quality haha

Re: UVA c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Yeah lol I didn't mean to imply that the result didn't totally suck, it was just a hilarious story in the context of UVA admissions behavior.
I think I've given up at this point. I kind of feel like if UVA wants me, they can come and get me, otherwise CYA. Waiting 5 months to hear about scholarships when you have the numbers and application worthy of one is beyond annoying.
ETA: I did call them a few days ago and didn't get a hilarious result like that, I just got the whole "Dean Richard isn't in she'll be back on Wednesday" spiel that they told me in various email correspondences.
