That would be awesome, nice big batch of Monday decisions. Does anyone know how UR3 correlates with decision timing?

UR 3 almost always means a decision today. I got my email at 5:37pm CST FWIW. I'd expect decisions late tonight. Good luck everyone.

Decisions do come out late, don't expect much before 5PM CST.

If Chicago has an admit wave today, they will over-enroll. This will be interesting. Good luck all

How could you possibly know that.

I fail to see how that logically follows. They know how many seats they have. They could easily choose to just only accept enough people to fill the remaining seats. Then they could turn to the WL if any of them choose to not attend.

Okay, you're both right, of course they could have calculated a few admits in to the class. The only reasonable data we have (LSN) tells that the yield is already higher than last year prior to today's decisions (count attending 12-13 vs 11-12); thus, it follows they could most likely fill a class already. Chicago would not admit students at this juncture who they felt wouldn't attend, since that would unnecessarily hurt their admit and yield %.. if they admit a wave of students who would attend, they could easily overenroll.

Or LSN gets more popular every year so it's impossible to use it as an accurate measure of actual enrollment.

Do they always admit in waves? Is it ever a mixed bag of admits, WLs and dings?

Lastly, I'm assuming that every person (admit or ding) goes UR3 at some point or another. Is this true?

They always do a wave of admits, wait lists, and dings. You'll likely go UR 3 at some point. Don't really know if they break protocol this late in the game but I'd expect you to be UR 3 before you get a decision.

Can you be admitted without an interview at this point?

Yes.

I believe most of the people admitted recently have gotten in without interviews. They may have actually stopped doing interviews at this point.

I'm also under review as of today. Anyone know whether we should expect decisions today based on past cycles?

Your, et al's posts that we should expect letters today? I'm interested in actual data from previous cycles.

What the hell are you talking about? There is actual data from this cycle and last cycle. Everyone goes UR3 and then receives a decision. What else are you looking for. It could be different but that's the only data you're gonna get.

UR3. After they deny me I can finally tack on that 1% for when I tell people "I am 99% going to northwestern."
