I've gotten information on need-based aid, but I haven't heard anything about merit-based yet. Any clue on when that sort of thing gets sent out?

Good to hear that I haven't missed out on aid (yet?), but hope the decision doesn't take too long...those dang deposit deadlines are looming ever closer.
I'm guessing UR means it went to under committee review. How do you know whether its the first or second time? Is it just because you've been checking obsessively. I'm basically identical. Complete 2/21 and the status date is 3/13.

Yup. Actually got 2 emails as the first was sent from the wrong sender. Was expected. Anyone know whether Penn uses their WL or not?

Who has had luck with negotiating with Penn so far? What offers in what amounts and from what schools did you use?

After negotiations, they upped mine by...$1,000 :/

That was with a $110k difference between them and UVA.

For those of you with merit aid - did the merit scholarship come as part of the Financial Aid (need-based) decision letter, or separately?

Hey all. I withdrew, so hopefully that opens up a spot and about $60k in need aid! Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Also waitlisted... Not sure why I was in the same pile as the YPs, but I'm very excited to pull off the MVP waitlist trifecta!

lol at some of these recent waitlists. Really making me think that sticking around on it is nothing short of a fools errand, but I guess I've got nothing to lose.

I think I remember reading a while back that historically Penn doesn't really end up pulling heavily from the waitlist...can anyone confirm this?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
