I think HotSauce is basically saying that it's depressing to already see a C/O 2016 topic when many people are still riding waitlists.

Ah, word. That DOES sound terrible--my sympathies HotSauce.

I'm applying but I need to do some things first...like retake the LSAT because right now there's no way Berkeley, or any school I want to go to, would take me. I was excited to see this thread though, I can't wait for more to start popping up! This all doesn't seem real yet, I keep talking about law school like it's some far off thing but hit me on the way to work this morning that hopefully this time next year I'll (hopefully) be getting ready to go!

Yeah I don't know too much about URM females, but I'd say with a higher LSAT score you'd be golden. Good luck!

Hi guys! I find this post so exciting. Thank you teachteacha! Right now I am working on my essays, as my lsat score and lsac gpa are what they will be! I am trying to get it together so that I can apply early. Are you all intending to make your Berkeley essays longer than the standard two pages? Is it true they prefer for you to use the extra space?

Hi everyone! Just checking in here. I think keeping track of these threads will help keep me in the loop - I'm currently living in a big van traveling the USA, so it's fair to say that I am going through this process without my normal organized desk and wifi access.

I decided to start getting a jump on application stuff now because I'm interning on an organic farm that has (spotty) wifi access in its barn. Yay!

Aw yeah, the gang is starting to assemble!! Eich, I actually remember you from the February LSAT thread waaaay back when. Seems like everything worked out for you, huh? I mean, come on--that barn experience is going to come in handy when writing your PS for Berkeley, right? EttaJ's question is relevant to my interests: I had assumed that we WERE supposed to use up the extra space. Any commenters? As for the Champ who rocked a 180 on her LSAT... damn, major kudos. I have not really started to get serious about my personal statement... tonight's job??

I remember you too! I ended up with a 171, so that was good enough for me to leave the LSAT behind (despite making me a big question mark at HYS

). I kinda wish we had a general "T14 c/o 2016 Applicants Thread" for support and general questions. I think I'm gonna confuse myself keeping track of all the different schools' threads.
And am I alone in that I haven't started my PS?

I'm lost.

Hahaha Soj <3
Maybe I should send a Why Berkeley that just says "I did my apps in the barn of an organic farm".

I just started my PS... sorry, just gonna repeat this, but I'm shooting for 3 pages with this thing, right? And then I'll just chop some of it out for the other schools?
I agree about having a general T14 c/o 2016 thread... Berkeley is my top choice, but other schools matter too.
Soj, since I assume you already go to UCB, do you have any idea of what kind of people get scholarships? I've heard it's people who are admitted with a high LSAT... is that true do you think?

Sorry, I don't go to Berkeley and I have no idea how financial aid works there. I know they have a matching aid program where if you have a higher scholarship from another T14 (except NU, for some reason), you can ask Berkeley to match. It's kind of like price matching at Staples, except not guaranteed.

Haha I also have similar threats from a certain U of M student about Michigan. I guess I'll worry about getting into these places before I worry about who to make mad.

I do hope to visit the area in the near future though...OooOoh gonna see the best coast I've heard so much about.
