FU Index

I've come up with what I call the FU Index (more on the name in a second); the index is the rank of the worst school you were rejected from minus the rank of the best school you were accepted to. A positive index means that you got into a better school than one you were rejected from - hence the name: you want to say fuck you to that second school. You may have a negative index, which is obviously a lot less interesting. Waitlists do count as rejections, and an acceptance off the waitlist counts as a regular acceptance. (See my case)
My own index: 10 - waitlisted at UCLA; accepted (off the waitlist) at Chicago.
