Getting off the Waitlist

I didn't have a disastrous last semester, but it wasn't exactly a kick-ass semester, either. Would sending an updated transcript help/hurt/neutral?

I'd put it this way:
If your GPA went up, its helpful
if it went down, dont do it

I think that if your GPA is the same-ish (maybe even slightly worse) you should still send it in... It looks kind of negligent not to since schools actively encourage you to update your stuff. It may appear that you don't care enough to update your file or like you could be trying to hide a way worse semester GPA or something.

I agree with this. Any legitimate excuse to send or contact the admissions office is a good idea (unless you're pestering them)
