Re: Stanford Waitlist 2012
Yale appears to have sneakily admitted its somewhat standard 5-15 people back in late May. There is confirmation of this on page 5 of the the Yale thread (by lizaregina, who was a WL->Admit). They never tweeted that the class was full or anything (I want closure!), but I think it is.
So H and Y have now done their thing. While S's new #2 rating probably did boost its enrollment a teensy bit, it may be that Harvard's big WL pull this year has more to do with the overall decrease in applicants (and applicants with high LSAT scores) than it does with ratings. I still have hope that the S waitlist will move at least a little.
As a HYS triple-waitlist, though, that's just 'cause I now feel like Stanford is my only hope!

Re: Stanford Waitlist 2012
Last year deposited students were asked to respond regarding their intent to attend by June 11-15ish and there were WL-admits around then. Perhaps this means that first week of July we'll see activity.

Oh wow, super late this year! Did anyone send a LOCI/new rec? I'm not sure how much of a difference it will make at this pointadam1 wrote:Last year deposited students were asked to respond regarding their intent to attend by June 11-15ish and there were WL-admits around then. Re: Stanford Waitlist 2012
I'm not going to lie - I really don't like California. That's why it was an easy personal decision to give up UCLA, USC and Berkeley. But, for Stanford, I'd move to the West Coast.
However, that July 6th re-confirmation date is REALLY late. I've been putting off looking for places in A2 for months because of Stanford, but am scheduled to look at potential homes on July 7th...

Tomorrow is when they want admits to confirm whether or not they're attending. My guess is the first acceptances come in on Monday.noggo10 wrote:Does everyone think this will be the week or next?

Apparently the first acceptance has occurred (it wasn't me, but check LSN).

It was a white female with a 171 and 3.88 (for those keeping score).

Ahhh I thought they wouldn't start until next week at the earliest. It's not that I think I have a hope of getting in off of this wait list. I'm just caught off guard.
Hopefully Dean Deal didn't accept many people on Friday and is planning on accepting a ton of the wait listed early next week!!

Has anyone communicated with the admissions office or otherwise procured some intel?

Yes, a white female with a 171 and 3.88 was called by the SLS admissions office on Friday July 6, and she accepted their offer.Lurkerturnedposter wrote:Has anyone communicated with the admissions office or otherwise procured some intel?

I did see that supposed acceptance reported above and should've so noted. I meant to ask about other information.jim-green wrote:Yes, a white female with a 171 and 3.88 was called by the SLS admissions office on Friday July 6, and she accepted their offer.Lurkerturnedposter wrote:Has anyone communicated with the admissions office or otherwise procured some intel?

The last time I called them they said they'd start making decisions by the end of June. Lolz.Lurkerturnedposter wrote:Has anyone communicated with the admissions office or otherwise procured some intel?

I have nothing to do with this, but a friend of mine has received a call from Stanford offering admission from the wait list and was told she has 11 days to decide.
