About the only thing you can only add that really swings the pendulum is that you will absolutely attend if admitted--after all, they are just trying to fill the class at this point. But then again, 81% of the people in this forum will put that they will absolutely attend if admitted...BigRedMachine wrote:Checking in, long-time lurker. Don't know what sort of new info you could put into a LOCI other than, obviously, CI....unless you've cured cancer since applying.
Have you cured cancer since applying?

I want to but I'm scared it will just make a rejection hurt more and not do anything to help my chances.cogitoergosum wrote:I just have to say... I absolutely love Yale for looking long and hard at me as an applicant. Regardless of what happens next, I like Yale.
btw, are any of you planning to visit while on the WL?
I feel you on that.Geneva wrote: I want to but I'm scared it will just make a rejection hurt more and not do anything to help my chances.
Ohh, what other schools are you considering? Also, double congrats for being WL as an undergrad.cogitoergosum wrote:I feel you on that.Geneva wrote: I want to but I'm scared it will just make a rejection hurt more and not do anything to help my chances.

Thanks! Looking at a number of schools, I'm really hoping either Penn or Yale will work out (WL'ed at both). I'm nontrad, spent some years working full-time btwn starting and finishing ugrad, so that might have something to do with it.Geneva wrote:Ohh, what other schools are you considering? his advice is interesting, never really had it framed that way so farGo to harvard, if you are asking which school is more elite, then its Yale, but if you are asking which school is more important and influential, then go to HLS....
where does stanford fit? disclaimer: not in at hls or ylsthederangedwang wrote:kinda interesting discussion i had with my school's president....he went to HLS and was on law review there at the same time John Roberts was there, he's friends with him..anywhoo, he got into Yale as well and chose HLS obviously and so he told me.

ha, it's depressing to realize the degree to which stanford lags behind hy in terms of prestige. i'm THRILLED with my sls acceptance, but wish the school got more recognition. why didn't u apply to sls?thederangedwang wrote:he mentioned it as an afterthought...kinda like..."also, stanford is a really good school"..then i told him i didnt apply there..and that was that
