I'm waiting it out as well. Has anyone heard anything from Emory about whether or not they still anticipate adding several people from the waitlist?

Last year, a huge number on dings happened in late April. I'd expect the same here. Hopefully I survive it; my numbers aren't great

I'm on the waitlist as well, but I'm gearing towards retake/reapply.

Currently on the waitlist as well. If a wave of denials can be anticipated somewhere around the end of April, anyone have an idea when they may begin sending acceptances?

I doubt that only denials will be sent out in late April! At least I hope not, I'm eager to hear back!jennbear wrote:Currently on the waitlist as well. If a wave of denials can be anticipated somewhere around the end of April, anyone have an idea when they may begin sending acceptances?

If you're accepted off the wait list, they call you and you have 48 hours to make a decision...So if anyone turns them down, they'll know pretty quickly to move along the wait list.

I wonder if that decision is binding or just 48 hrs to pay the non-refundable deposit.runnerfun wrote:If you're accepted off the wait list, they call you and you have 48 hours to make a decision...So if anyone turns them down, they'll know pretty quickly to move along the wait list.

I'm wondering the same thing. If we have 48 hours to pay the deposit that might knock me out of the running.

Based on last years posting wait listers should start getting called in any day now, if they are using the wait list. Here's to hoping!

So, if accepted off the waitlist you receive a call instead of email? I guess that makes sense if you only have 48 hours to make a decision.shroeder wrote:Based on last years posting wait listers should start getting called in any day now, if they are using the wait list. Here's to hoping!

Have we figured out if the decision is binding? Not that I really have much of a chance anyways, but out of some miracle of god, I get a call, I'm curious.

I am sure y'all have seen this but this is from their website:jennbear wrote:wondering this myself . . .favrefire4 wrote:Have we figured out if the decision is binding? Not that I really have much of a chance anyways, but out of some miracle of god, I get a call, I'm curious.
" What is the process if I am admitted from the waitlist?
Once we offer you admission via phone, you have 48 hours to decide whether to enroll at Emory Law. If you are admitted before June 1, a nonrefundable tuition deposit of $250 is due upon acceptance, followed by $500 by June 1. After June 1, a nonrefundable tuition deposit of $750 is required. The deposits will be credited to your first semester tuition."
It sounds like they just want the deposit not that it is binding... I think they would mention that clearly if it was.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
