Probably a bit premature, but I thought I would get this started.

Are there others who were waitlisted at UC Davis but plan to stick it out for the next four to five (gasp!) months?

Yep, I am. Waiting out UCI and UCD, hoping to attend one.

Have you put down a deposit at another school?

Based on LSN info (which isn't much), it looks like UCD has basically waitlisted almost everyone they didn't admit. So it looks like they might still have lots of people to choose from.

If neither UCD or UCI, then I will be headed to Pepperdine. I have put a seat deposit, but nothing binding. I wouldn't mind losing a few hundred bucks in the end if it meant I could go to UCI or Davis.

Maybe only people who were waitlisted bothered to put it on LSN? I'm sure alot of people who were outright rejected don't want to go out of their way thinking about it to put it up there, and also it would look bad for the school's rankings to not have rejected the majority of applicants. I think? Wishful thinking? I wish we somehow knew how large the waitlist is :/

+1 regarding Pepperdine. So nerve-wracking!

They've started taking people off the waitlist!!!

If anyone is successful at getting off the waitlist, it would be wonderful to hear what you did (e.g., submitting additional recommendations or LOCIs).

It's uncommon that they start pulling from the waitlist this early, right? Could be a good sign??

Keep the faith everyone. I was pulled off the Waitlist this afternoon without sending a LOCI.

I got off it a few days ago, didn't do anything. The good news about UCD employment prospects seem far and few between. Anyone else find the same in their scouting? Concerns?

I think I may be checking the status checker for no reason, and I just wanted to see if there was really any point to continue to check it religiously.

Can you guys tell me your stats??? I mean LSAT and GPA and uh....previous/current school? Please.

I never checked the status checker until after I got a letter in the mail.

Did they call you to let you know? If so, did they leave a message if you did not answer?

My phone went dead May 1st and didn't get fixed until three days later. I assume they would have left a message if they called, but it would be comforting if someone confirmed they did.

Same here! I received a very nice phone call from Dean Canada at Hastings. I received only emails from Davis (was taken off the waitlist yesterday) and when I called to ask questions about financial aid I was rudely dismissed. I withdrew at Hastings a while ago, though, so it's not like this swayed my decision, but I do appreciate the schools that try to be courteous.

any news from those still waitlisted? anyone been taken off recently?
