I was wait listed. I found out via the status check online... The admissions office claims they send a letter, but I didn't recieve one! Did anyone else on the waitlist recieve this letter? what did it say? Also the waitlist suckssssss. anyone else on the waitlist want to compare numbers so at least one of us can feel better?

Being waitlisted sucks indeed, especially when the school you're WL'd at is your top choice. At least I'm not flat out rejected. It gives me some hope.. However, all my plans are on hold. I'm about to send a deposit for my back up school.. :/

UGA is a reach, but I really want to go.

Sent a Loci 3+ weeks ago. No word.

I received a WL letter shortly after checking my WL status online.

Same here...letter a couple of days after my online status changed...

Good news for you guys, withdrew today. I love Athens, but it wouldn't have been a smart financial choice for me. Best of luck!

When is the deposit deadline for UGA? Maybe after the first deposit deadline, we might hear something from admissions? Anybody know (historically) when WListers start hearing back...

I read a thread similar to this from a few yrs back at uga. No one in the group got a call after the first deposit in april. A few got calls in july.

well since i've been rejected from EVERYWHERE. all that's left is uga wait list, alabama pending decision (pretty much unofficial wait list i guess since it's almost april), and full ride to ole miss. tulane rejected me which kinda pisses me off bc the dean of admissions got her mph from tulane (i mentioned that dual degree in my future plans) and she practiced health law.. which is what my entire PS is about... oh yeah and my LSAT was 75th percentile for them... oh well. I'm barely below median at UGA and Bama.... so both are stretches soooo probs goin to ole miss.

Move out of state & be in a ton of debt. Please let me in, UGA!!!!

did anyone else get the email about them making decisions today and tomorrow from the wait list and calling them by 5 pm tom??? has anyone received a call?

I hope they take me off the WL before June so I don't have to put in another $400 deposit at my backup school!

Any advice as to what I should write in another LOCI, all I have is now final grades/cum laude etc...

What percentage of students on the waitlist are ultimately admitted?
Are wait-listed students ranked? If so, ask where you are ranked.
When are final decisions regarding the waitlist made?

Didn't know this existed.

Don't know length of waitlist. Don't know the % of waitlist admitted.

Wait listed students are not ranked (although I find that a little difficult to believe). (Source: I emailed Ramsey a couple of months ago.)
I don't know about final decisions re waitlist, but I did email Ramsey who said wait listed students will decisions re the wait listed students' online survey early June (after admitted students' second deposits are due).

I think if your GPA went up, it's worth mentioning, but if I don't know how much is considered noteworthy. I'm pretty sure someone talked about it in TLS somewhere.

2nd seat deposit is due tomorrow, so hopefully we will hear something next week.

Everyone keeps asking me where I'm going. :/ Sucks that I don't have a definite answer.

I've been looking at past threads, and it doesn't seem as if there are as many applicants this year. Last year's uga applicant thread was around 40-50 pages, whereas this year, it's only at 25ish, and it's already summer. I'm not sure if that's exactly a good way to judge the applicant pool, but maybe law school isn't as popular this year, therefore, more chances off being accepted off the WL? Here's to wishing...

I wonder if I should email adcomm to ask when we'll hear the first wave of WL decisions. I don't wanna be a bother, but maybe an email could be a subtle nudge to let them know I still wanna attend...

July will be approaching soon, and I need to start making living arrangements!

Deposit due June 1st (postmarked); 4-6 days mailing (for out of state); 1 hour to count deposits, 1 day for Admin to meet and hopefully make the news out on the same day. Thursday/Friday seems to be the reasonable expectation, but Wednesday would be nice.

I hope so, I am going to visit the school on Friday.

Has anyone talked to the school?

I'm tempted to call tomorrow to ask kindly when we can expect to hear back or what's the outcome of the deposits.

No word over here.
