Waitlisted today. One of my top choices. Anyone else out there?

I went complete 1/19 and got in via status checker yesterday. Probably going to withdraw seeing as how I already got into Northeastern and am still waiting to hear back on BU and BC...

Got accepted a while back. Not my top choice, but definitley still considering it as an option. Checked out the building and surrounding area when I was up in Boston a few weeks ago and I liked it. I know Suffolk has a really solid reputation within the New England law community. Best of luck...hopefully they pull you off that waitlist!

Accepted back in November, having grown up in MA I know a ton of people who have a very high regard for Suffolk Law grads (not to mention more than half the MA legislature, multiple DA offices, and many top Boston firms are composed of Suffolk Law grads). Having said that, I'm about to request merit aid and if that doesn't go so well I'll be withdrawing - in which case my spot's all yours WV!

Any movement here?
I've been on "In Process" for like two weeks. Anyone know what that even means?

I got in before Christmas and have yet to hear anything about scholarships. Anyone in the same boat?

Got in PT back in November...negotiated 20K per year with a 3.0 stip (from nothing) so I am definitely considering it. The head of admissions, Dean Ellis, is fabulous.

Got in FT last week. No info on scholarships with my letter, though.

I was admitted back in November. I just received a $30,000 scholarship this morning. Decisions, Decisions.

Yeah I would definitely send them an email or something. I forgot actually until you just mentioned it that I sent them an email trying to negotiate a scholarship about a month ago. I guess it worked. I read somewhere that law schools are having a record low number of applicants so they probably have to be pretty generous with their scholarships.
Good luck

Anyone still waiting on their fin aid package?
I've been emailing and calling the office and I can't be considered for Need Based until they have a signed copy of my parents' 1040. (Which my dad refuses to file until the 4/15 deadline)
My concern is that all the Need Based scholarships will dry up by then - leaving me with only loans.
Also, I would like to see if I get merit based scholarships too. Seat deposit is due 4/15, so I want to know my financial obligation beforehand, ideally.
It's just annoying that my dad is delaying any word. The financial aid office workers seem tired on the phone and largely unhelpful too.

Has anyone committed to Suffolk yet?

Not committed just yet, but they are definitely a strong contender. I'm waiting on finacial aid info and word from a couple other schools before making up my mind. Anyone else going to the admitted students reception in DC tonight?

Waiting on financial info also but 90% sure I'll be attending unless I get in off the waitlist at northeastern.

I'm in the same boat. 90 percent sure I'm committing to Suffolk (just awaiting the financial aid package). Anyone know if the financial aid people would be able to tell you your merit based scholarship (if any) over the phone?

If you don't mind my asking- when did you guys apply? I applied a month ago and still waiting..is there a cut off date where they need to let you know or could the decision be held up until the spring or early summer?
Thanks--sorry very new to this!

I applied all the way back in November, and I got my decision back in December.

I sent my app in the day scores were released (1/4) and got notification of acceptance February 10th. The Law School Numbers website is a pretty useful tool and might help answer some questions about wait times. Check here:

Anyone know if negotiating/asking for more scholarship money works at Suffolk? I'm sending a scholarship negotiation email regardless.

I believe it worked with me negotiation from nothing to almost full tuition. I think one of the most important aspects of negotiation is showing considerable intent based on financing.
Good luck

Wow! Congrats! That's good to hear. I was really disappointed when I saw that I was only given the $20,500 Stafford/Perkins loans in my financial aid package.
The 4/15 seat deposit is looming and I really do not have any leverage right now. I got into Hofstra (no merit scholarships). Waitlisted this weekend at Quinnipiac. And also accepted to NESL (still waiting on any merit money here). If I got something from NESL (even though I have ZERO desire to go there), would it be feasible to use their scholarship money as leverage to get something from Suffolk?
I'm at the point we're I would be more than happy to get 5-10K merit and call it a day. I just quiver at the potential of paying sticker (although a reputable regional school...Suffolk is still T4)
About waiting till next year's cycle...I pretty much already have a job lined up (not to sound too cocky), so I'm anxious to get in the game ASAP (in case my LSAT numbers didn't improve substantially)
FWIW...here are my numbers 3.77/152

I got 20K at NESL and was able to use that to get 20K at Suffolk. I mentioned that, how much I liked Suffolk when I visited, and the little money that I got at some other so-so schools, and they came right out and matched NESL (and I had zero to begin with!). I did get into Rutgers-Newark, a TT that in-state costs as much as Suffolk with 20K, so I deposited there instead. That said, I have nothing but positive things to say about Dean Ellis and the admissions office at Suffolk.
