Even a former law dean, now a Virginia professor, has a videotaped lecture on the freedom that law schools have with the below 25% acceptees. I know several who were accepted or put on reserve with numbers only slightly above OP's at a T-14 law school over the past few years. Some had URM status & some did not, but all offered diversity & a story.
I'm not saying it's strictly impossible. I just believe the OP is full of shit.
I've actually seen what the OP is claiming THIS CYCLE. Non-URM Friend of mine JUST got into a T10 with absolute shitlaw numbers (we're talking WL @ Phoenix Law numbers, folks). There's a stupid legal show on USA with an impossible premise about some hotshot with an eidetic memory. In the show there's a brilliant woman who just sucks at the LSAT. That's him.
He is quite possibly the smartest young man I've ever met, fantastic writer, wonderful legal mind, and one very compelling diversity story. He's that guy in class you'd assume to have 170+ just because everything you've seen from him is brilliant, and because he's a nice, unpretentious guy, you don't secretly hope he gets knocked down a peg or two. He conference called a few of us last week and broke the news, and it was great. I can only guess he had some killer LORs.
That said, his numbers do suck. And whatever issues caused him to bomb the LSAT are probably still there. Getting into T10 is one thing. Staying there is another. I can only hope the best for him.
