Mistake made???
I am 152/3.4 and I saw on my status checker that I was accepted into my super reach school, whose median lsat is 15 points above my score. Surely a mistake was made as this is my only acceptance thus far. If I accept and make plans to go there can they take away my offer?

Good luck dude, that's awesome.
If your gpa was high, they may have used that to boost the median, and not really cared about the LSAT score for some non-numerical reason.

Make a deposit right away and if they later try to deny admission, you can rely on the principle of promissory estoppel. I know someone who got rejected to Princeton but sent a deposit for grad school and then sued, they were forced by the court to let him attend because they accepted the deposit.

Re: Mistake made???
yeah, if they don't realize their "mistake" after accepting your deposit, you're probably fineColumbiaChamp wrote:Make a deposit right away and if they later try to deny admission, you can rely on the principle of promissory estoppel. Re: Mistake made???
I'm guessing with school ranked.that high you should receive an email or something in addition to the status checker. Can't think of a school with a median that high that only advises through checker.
Also you should.have deposited electronically if possible.

Re: Mistake made???
Congrats OP. If you can deposit electronically I would do that right now and figure out the rest later (call admissions office, ask them to destroy check because you deposited electronically, or just let it process and get subtracted from your first tuition payment?)Magnifique1908 wrote:I'm guessing with school ranked.that high you should receive an email or something in addition to the status checker. If indeed this is a mistake, it is a once-in-a-lifetime sort of break... GRAB IT!

Re: Mistake made???
It's probably not a mistake. Apparently adcomms actually read the aplications since something other than your numbers captured their interest. My first impression was to write "Enjoy Cornell !", but USC & Vandy, among others, are also possibilities.

OP: After you send in your deposit via Priority Mail or Express Mail with delivery signature/confirmation requested, buy a lottery ticket while your good fortune is still running hot. Congratulations !

Re: Mistake made???
If the school's median LSAT is 167, I doubt their 75th percentile GPA is 3.4. Just got lucky.JamMasterJ wrote:Good luck dude, that's awesome.
