I love law school. Enjoy STCL too. Just wish so many people didnt graduate without jobs.

To the other poster: there is nothing I have said about STCL that cannot be confirmed by a study of the employment numbers. Call me negative but I'm being realistic.
The other posters are not saying that you are wrong, just that this is the wrong thread for that kind of talk. In fact, there is a notice about not doing this.

Well, I don't care what you say about STCL or UH. I just thought this whole argument was based on a misunderstanding. I was genuinely trying to help. I'm going to make a crappy lawyer...

Ban me. It's finals season.

Somehow that was supposed to be funny.

Merc - I've applied/will apply to many schools.

FYI to anyone waiting to hear back from STCL, I e-mailed the Assistant Director of Admissions today to follow-up with him on the admissions status. Here was his response -

"I'm out of the office this week. As far as I know, acceptance/denials are going out every day as the committee makes decisions. We should be concluding that process this week, so you should hear something soon. If you haven't heard anything by next week, let me know and I'll check again."

Granted, I think that is probably the nicest way to say, "I do not know." However, if what he is saying is correct, those of us waiting to hear back should *hopefully* hear something very, very soon.

Maybe they are waiting on the deposits for those accepted. Then they'll dish out the remainder of the seats. I wonder if they’re reducing the number they take in this year. Thanks for posting this LadyLoo.

You are welcome! Last night I met with some ladies from STCL. One is a 3L and on Law Review, and the other used to be the Editor-in-Chief of Law Review and currently works at Thompson Knight. They both had similar sentiments to what you said (waiting for seat deposits). They also said that the number of applicants is down a bit, which I am sure is the case at a lot of schools given that the job market has picked up and not a lot of people are choosing to go back to school. They mentioned that because of this, the process is most likely taking longer because of trying to navigate who to accept, who will matriculate, and who will actually stay at STCL and not leave or drop out. Granted, everyone seems to have an opinion about this process that may or may not be completely accurate... but it sure doesn't hurt to pass this information along!

Thanks for the info! That's helpful! My file has been complete since 2/17 and still nothing... I am sure we will all hear back very soon - most likely after the 1st seat deposit is due. Is it also April 15 at STCL?

My first deposit was due on 4/9/12, and my final was 5/7/12.

Waitlisted 3/7 and I have managed to somehow put my nerves aside for the last month, but I'm crawling the walls now.

Good to know the first seat deposit deadline has passed and the admissions director maybe sort of possibly thinks they would've finished with their regular decisions at the end of this week because I don't think I can wait much longer without my head exploding!

I just recently got accepted into the PT program at STCL for Fall 2012. If anyone else will be attending, let me know.

Waitlisted 4/16. How long have some of you been waiting on this list? I see one from the beginning of March.

How many others are still waiting in "Application Complete?"

I'm currently riding out the waitlist and noticed that my status date changed from 4/16 to 5/16. Is anyone in this same situation have the same status change?

FYI: When I called admissions, they said that there were less than 100 people on the list and that they are going into review at the end of this month.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
