This grant is renewable each year provided that you remain in good standing. To accept this award, please pay both tuition deposits by the deadlines discussed in your admission letter"



Does this mean 75000/year? Or 75/three years?

$75,000 total. No law school has a $225,000 scholarship.

yea but thats not what the plain english states. and I know a couple students from this school that got that too. its private and im in the top of the admitted class

Yeah.They would've thrown in something about a living stipend if it was 75k a year. Because that deal is so sweet, you bet your ass they would've emphasized it was 'per year' if it was.

Plain meaning can also be read to say that its 75k total, pending you don't screw it up. If you screw it up, you lose whatever moneys you have left of the 75k (only renewable if your'e in good standing).

Yeah, this is all speculation. I would 100% call and double check as soon as possible. If we're wrong, it'd be a pretty bad thing to blow cuz of our less-than-perfect offer interpretation skills.

im pretty sure its over 3 years. 75 is too much.

now on the other hand, if it said "25K", then I wouldnt think it was over the three years. i think the letter is purposefully confusing.

Maybe they think nobody is stupid enough to think they've just been awarded a scholarship that's over tuition by $30,000/year.

He really isn't. The statement almost surely means 75K total, but the wording could be phrased in a more clear manner. It's not hard to imagine that people would misunderstand it to mean 75k per year.
