iPhone status checking app

Hey guys, so I updated the status checking app I made during my own admissions cycle to fix some of the bugs and also make it easier to check more schools.

Here's the (very) basic how-to:

0) Get iOS 4.2, at least.

1) Add the schools you want to check with the addy button thing at the bottom left. Click done when done (duh).

2) Touch the schools in the list, and then click the "account settings" button for the school. Put your LSAC account name/pass in for the school, then hit the "update" button. When you update, you should get the actual website on this screen, and from the main screen it should show whatever info it pulled from the relevant fields. Some schools update the statuses weird ways, and the main screen will say "Check user id/pass" because it couldn't find the info it wanted.

I don't actually have access to any LSAC status checkers anymore, since they expire after so long, so I can't actually test the new version at all. But it should work, hopefully, a bit better than the old one. If it doesn't, then let me know if you feel like helping me test for version 1.2.

Sorry about the massive delay in updating, by the way, first semester 1L kind of took priority.

Good luck to all of you, and, even though I know you won't take this advice: stop checking your status so much; it will make you crazy. That said, here:

http://itunes.apple.com/app/law-status/id425923742?mt=8

Edit: changing to future availability date until I figure out what's up.

Hi, thank you for your efforts.

I downloaded it for the iPad and while the schools' log-on pages load, it won't let me sign in for some reason. When I go back to the main screen each school says "Check user id/password" even when my account info. is correct. Perhaps it simply isn't compatible with the iPad, however I am doubtful because this has never been the case for other iPhone apps.

Yup, I am also unable to login. iPhone 4s running 5.02

When I enter my info on the screen and press login, nothing happens. I even tried clicking forgot password for shits and giggles and nothing happened then either

Thanks for the feedback; it's impossible for me to test anything myself.

You need to enter your account info in the "account settings" part of the app, and not on the actual page for each school. It should say "Set username/password" at the bottom left. If you already did this, then stay tuned for version 1.2.

Also, do not click "login." Click "update." The window just shows the html page it retrieves when you have your account info in.

Tried doing that, still says check Id/password on the main screen

When I clicked on the link it said this app isn't available in the US. Am I doing something wrong?

I know some people might disagree, but if it helps you get it out faster, I'd be willing to pay $0.99 for the app.

That implies that you weren't doing that before finding the app... (I kid.)
