I know there are at least TWO others who will join this thread with me

UCI is basically my top choice if I get accepted... so the waiting game begins! I know in the past years there have been a lot of admits from the waitlist... so I'd love to have a thread following!

Definitely hoping they pull from the waitlist this year as well. It's going to be a long wait between now and May....

I got a WL by snail mail as well. At least it wasn't a reject...

Got the waitlist letter yesterday

Would taking the June LSAT help improve my chances of getting off the wait list (assuming a higher score)? Or will it be too late by then?

Does Irvine typically pull from the waitlist? I don't think ky numbers are very strong considering their 25th/75th percentiles.

Does anyone have any idea how many people UCI usually places on the waitlist? I feel like based on here and LSN there are quite a few waitlists relative to rejections and acceptances.

WL here too....163/3.7x. Sad . Irvine was top choice. But it seems like a few people with my numbers were admitted last year.

I checked the threads from the previous years and it looks like they waitlisted about as many people as they had seats.

Waitlisted this week via snail mail. It looks like the people who were accepted in the other forum are strongly considering UCI. It'll be a long wait till May!

Received my waitlist notification via snail mail a couple of weeks ago. I'm holding on to hope, UCI is my first choice.

Hi everyone! I went to ASW this weekend and I wanted to let you know that I got a chance to talk two students that got in off of the wait list. They were both very happy with their choices. One of them was actually going to head to Hastings, but preferred to stay closer to home. So hang in there!

Thanks for letting us know! I'm sure if I got off of the Waitlist I'd be happy with my choice (went to UCI for undergrad), but considering how much people loved the ASW, l'm not gettng my hopes up at all :/. Congrats on your admission!

Hey so I've heard this is an up and coming school? What's the deal? How come it's not on the lists? Any info on it would be great...I'm from San Diego, do you know if it's got good employment prospects for San DIego?

I know lots of people did, but to be fair, I don't think we had 110 people there (If you think about the guests and stuff). I just know how terrifying are wait lists, and even though I am not on one, I sought WL people attending for one reason. See, I got a very small scholarship. WL usually end up attending schools at sticker. I really wanted to meet those people because their reasons to attend are pretty strong, and I wanted to know how they felt about it so far. Given the fact that they both had jobs already, one didn't mention it, but the other one said she had a paid internship for her 1L- which 1Ls rarely get paid, they were both extremely happy about it. So that is factor I take into consideration. Also, since I know some of you guys are waiting, I had to come and share my experience as well.

-It is.
-Well, you should consider going on their website and looking at what they offer.
-Lists? As in ranks? It opened in 2009 so it won't be ranked until 2015.
-No one really asked about San Diego- most did about L.A. and Orange County. The reputation is spreading though so maybe in three or four years SD would become a market? I'm not really sure about this and this is all speculation.
