THIS! So much this.
When I drive alone, I sometimes say out loud "So, Car. How would you feel having Washington/California/Florida/Oregon/Colorado license plates?"

You didn't apply to Yale and had no business doing so, but wish you had because maybe, just maybe, you were that special snowflake.

For at least 50 % of all applicants, law school is a 1 way ticket to massive debt and unemployment. Dont go.

Where is the neurosis in that? Much more fun to tweak my anxiety levels this way (though the post quoted above may include a bit of exaggeration).

I was actually bummed that Monday was a holiday because I knew most schools were closed. First time in my life that I wasn't happy about a holiday.

You get irrationally upset when you find out an acquaintance who is applying from the same school as you has a higher (LSAT/GPA)

+1

Last year was the first year I dreaded the Christmas and new years holiday because it meant the adcomms were away from my application.

I'm glad this hasn't happened to me... yet. I can imagine the weirdness that follows telling each other your stats.

I guess for once I am happy for my friends' general lack interest in legal careers :D

Umm, one of my status checkers updated on the Sunday before MLK Day. So, I check (obsessively) over the weekends, too.

ZOMG so true... this thread is gonna be amazing.

You base your friends' intelligence on their LSAT scores.
You look up what books to buy to prepare you for 1L.
You can't stop diagramming when you read news articles and spot flaws in almost every statement.
You go back and forth and think you're totally in at your dream school and other times tell yourself there's no way you could get in.

Yeah.

You have 200k in debt and unemployment in your future.
I'd take having 200k in non-dischargeable debt over being a loser any day. Sucks to be you, MTal.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
