Top Law Schools

I thought I would start a thread since one hasn't been started (despite the negative comments about GGU).

Complete 12/13, In Review 1/6

Hoping for a decision with some $$$ soon! From the SF Bay Area so GGU appeals to me because of location.

I just checked, I'm in review too. I hope they are quick with decisions.

I applied in early November and haven't heard a peep. I guess I should send an email?

I went complete 11-10 been in review since 12-27 last year the earliest decision was the last week of Jan but they didnt start sending them out consistently untill Feb according to LSN lets hope they are a little faster this year.

Applied and have been in review since 1/6 as well. I guess they aren't too quick with acceptances

ETA: Sent an email regarding another issue and slipped in a question re: decision letters. He was very cordial in the email and said that he expects decision letters to go out via snail mail within the week. Busy day today. Decision rendered with deposit amounts...looks like an acceptance, we'll see what kind of scholarship money they offer

My status checker also says decision rendered with deposit amounts as of today! Hoping for some $$$...

I was accepted today but I was also accepted today at Seattle U, so that took away the excitment of this decision....but its still nice

Haha! I'm in at Seattle too. The only thing that would make me go to GG over SU is a full ride scholly. Good luck!

My seat deposits were there saying I owed $300 due in April yesterday and today they have disappeared... Has this happened to anyone else? Apparently the decision was mailed on 1/25 and I still haven't received it (I'm 10 miles from the school!)

Same...except my seat deposits were saying they were due on 1/24/12. I'm in Vegas and I doubt I'll be getting my packet for a bit, as I'm always a few days behind the rest of the U.S. in delivery dates ( at USPS/Vegas).

Weird... I don't know why it would be due in January for you (a date that already passed)? Maybe just an error in their system or something. I'll probably find out in the morning if having those seat deposits disappearing was a good thing or a bad thing. I'll let you know how my decision turns out. It seems like we're the first batch of decisions.

If they really want you, have them bump that stip down. Don't get stuck paying sticker a GG for 2 years.

Be careful about the stipulations every school gives out to maintain a scholarship. While the amount looks great, it can be very difficult to keep. I would compare this stipulation to their reported class median and figure out what percentile you need to be in to keep the scholarship.

In today with a full Dean's scholarship!

How has the rep of this school changed since the craziness of '06-08? What percentile is 3.0 and above?

In with a $30,000 faculty scholarship and a $5,000 public interest scholarship.

I honestly don't feel as though anyone applying to law school today isn't aware of these statistics and making more informed decisions. Thank you for the post though.

$10k/year faculty scholarship. Not enough to come close to enticing me. Thanks, but I'll be withdrawing tomorrow. Good luck all!

Thanks, I really appreciate this information. I'm still waiting on decisions from about 6 law schools so just because they gave me the scholarship doesn't mean I'm going. Fortunately, I have parents who will pay for where ever I decide to go. Good luck to everyone!

Got packet today with 30,000 faculty schol and 5,000 environmental schol...money is tempting, but I think Im gonna wind up passing

In with $30,000 per year faculty scholarship (3.0 cumulative gpa stipulation). I'll be withdrawing as I've already picked another school, hope someone else will enjoy my spot!
