Top Law Schools

Hey everyone!

I thought it would be awesome to get all the potential GULC class of 2015 students here to talk about the school, living in DC, admitted students events, etc. So, if you were one of those who:

- got a nice call from Andy
- received a nice letter from Andy
- couldn't wait for any of those and opted for the ASW backdoor

then this is the thread for you!

This was the first law school to get back to me and personally, I couldn't be more excited to know that I'm for sure going back to school next fall! Merry Christmas everyone and hope to meet some of you at GULC or elsewhere in about a year!

Also, my mom took one look at the GULC Christmas card and told me that I was attending.

Yeah, I didn't actually get to see it, because she opens all my mail and then loses it, but I heard it was very sweet.

Nope, GULC was the first (hopefully of many soon to come)

Agreed. It's my first T14 as well. How does the school stack up vs. other choices for you all?
So far for me I feel it's my best option.

It's my first t14 too! Barring a surprise admit from NU, it'll come down to gulc and Vandy.

in via the asw, havent gotten the real letter yet. tis my first t14, though I am currently also in at GW, UMN, BC, William and Mary and CU-Boulder. Since GULC is far ahead of all those in my preference list, I need to start withdrawing..

When did you hear back from Vandy?? I went complete December 2nd I think... do I still have awhile?

Vandy has been very unpredictable this year. I applied at the end of October, and heard back mid November I believe. But the box arrived with no updates to my status checker. Good luck!

My LSN is on my profile- not URM but Hispanic with meaningful softs.

Georgetown took a big chance on me LSAT-wise, and I'll never forget it. I was rejected last year, and instead pursued a 9-month masters program and worked for my state's Governor. For those of you still deciding, GOOD LUCK. For those who are enrolling, I'll see you soon enough!

Also in at Virginia. I'm hoping for another T14 or two, but if no one else lets me in, I'll be happy choosing between the two. Who would choose GULC over UVA?

Georgetown has always been a dream school for me. So, I am thrilled that I was accepted!

checking in, I have wanted to go here since 11th grade when I decided I wanted to go to law school

just wish it wasnt such an expensive proposition, everything always comes down to money...

Well you can also keep an eye out for the GW one, it has word for word the same message in it. Just sub the name and the picture on the outside and you've got the same card. I LOL'd when I saw it. Still, a nice sentiment.

Checking in. Living overseas right now and the first piece of American post I received was the acceptance letter. Really pumped but still deciding.

Looking forward to meeting some of you during the open houses.
