For me, yes. The first email named me as a scholarship alternate, but didn't use the "not at this time" language.

This ends my cycle, peace out GULC! Will be withdrawing today.

I have not received any information since the first scholarship alternate e-mail. In that e-mail they said we'd find out by the 11th...guess they're really cutting it close eh....

I don't know if I've learned much about this whole applying to law school thing, but I can say with full certainty that the GULC financial aid office is a shit show. I mean I'm all about hiring more people (or even illiterate children given the emails I've received) to get the job done in a timely manner. But have some basic standards GULC.

It looks like the content of these scholarship follow up emails vary from person to person. People with better numbers seem to be getting more information on specific dollar amounts and such ..

Other an an email update, no word about a definitive outcome. I am not overly optimistic, but I think some kind of a decision will be made in a week or so.

My understanding is that merit scholarship information is sent via a different email, and not through MyAccess

Well that would be nice. The email kind of made it seem like it was a take it or leave it situation.

I didn't send a negotiation persay, but I sent all my other correspondence (acceptance of scholarship and the like) directly to Ms. Spada's email (as that was the email given to me in the scholarship email I got). I share this because I've emailed the generic hotline a question some time ago and actually never gotten a response, whereas when I've emailed her directly I got a response fairly quickly. So yeah, that's my suggestion Good luck!

As for MyAccess, I'm just offering up a guess as I'm not sure why you wouldn't be able to access it... did you go into the Admitted Students site and change your NetID temporary password yet?
