Top Law Schools

I didn't apply, but a close friend if mine goes to Memphis and loves it. He turned down a spot at Vandy to go there because he wants to practice in Memphis.

He's a 2L and doesn't regret the choice.

My decision letter is in the mail...dun dun dun!

My status just changed from File in Review-Decision Pending to File in Review

What, if anything, does that mean?

I was accepted too! Buddy of mine made a 166 and got 10k a yr at Memphis. ANYBODY get any scholarship offers....?

Did your friends scholarship info come with his admission packet? I'm in tx so prob won't get my letter til later in the week but I'll update when I do

well I can answer that the TLS ass hole way or the humane way

A$$ Hole Way: Its called TOP law schools as in Top 14 or 30. Not some regional Hack institution that will NEVER get you a job and only lead you to suicidal thoughts... If you're not considering AT LEAST UVA you'll probably end up just another bum on the street.... *I hate those guys on here too*

Humane way: Memphis is very much a regional institution, meaning local kids or Tennessee people *Im from Knoxville & have applied, not those who make SUPER SCORES of 165 or such. It's a state school so people who get in are probably applying to UTK as well.

It's a fine school though. I have no doubt about that

So I got an acceptance email today before getting my actual decision info in the mail. Nothing about scholarship stuff yet though. I will probably be at the open house since I need to go visit family soon anyways. Any ideas on where people tend to live? My uncle has an essentially empty house out in germantown but I don't know if that would completely isolate me with the commute and everything.

I was accepted about a month ago. I'm in state so I'm looking at UT as well, still waiting to hear back. I was very impressed with the facilities at Memphis.

How long did it take for you guys to hear back from Memphis? I applied the last week of January, and it went under review the same day. I still haven't heard anything, though.

Application received: 1/23, complete: 2/2, decision: 2/24.

I received the acceptance letter the Monday after my status changed to decision rendered (2/24).
