I'm still waiting and I applied early November. Did you status checker update you accurately through the process?

When in November? did you sit for December LSAT? are you still in undergrad?
I applied 11/22, received my acceptance letter on 12/6 with scholarship information.

Like the 6th of Nov. Took the October Lsat. Not undergrad.
I feel like this does not bode well for me.

Are you in state? do you mind sharing numbers? I grew up in NYC, 157, 3.47.

I got my admit packet. I'll probably visit the school next year. I got a merit scholarship of 7,000 and I couldn't find any stipulations. I wonder how easy it is to establish residency.

From my experience in the SUNY undergrad system, it's harder than most states. I had a bunch of New Jersey friends paying out of state all four years...I think.

I feel as if Buffalo has forgotten about me since I have been ready for review since 11/28

I have a question in reference to Buffalo's personal statement criteria explanation that I included below.
I've been planning on using a very-well written personal statement that I wrote for several schools. Their description seems to refer to abroad experiences, employment, or involvement. These are all things I included in my resume, and I thought we're supposed to not repeat resumes in personal statements, and rather include a unique take on who we are and/or who we have become up to this point. My essay focuses on an experience that made me into the dedicated person with a community service mindset that I am today. It is a personal statement, rather than a resume like UB's description seems to covey.
Is this ok? What did you do or what do you think? Thanks so much.
Your response should be at most two double-spaced pages in length.
The Admission Committee values good writers and in fact, considers the personal statement a key component in the application process. Please provide a supplementary statement with additional information or commentary that you believe will assist the Admission Committee in evaluating your application. Please refer to concrete examples drawn from your background including experience in other countries or cultures, employment, community activities, educational, and intellectual experiences you believe will be helpful to the committee.

But you're in at BK which is pretty awesome! I'm still "ready for review" there lol

They must move pretty slow. I applied to Buffalo and Hofstra at the same time (first week of January) and I already received a decision from Hofstra yesterday morning. Buffalo status just says "application complete".

Yep, but I am not surprised because it is under the SUNY system. I applied to both around November 20ish and heard back from Hofstra on Dec 15 and just went under review at Buffalo yesterday.

Dang, that's a long wait. I applied to Suffolk (I live near Boston, originally from western NY) on December 16th and just received a letter of acceptance today by snail mail. The status checker for Suffolk still just says "file complete". Hoping to hear positive news from Buffalo or Albany as they are both cheaper and my family lives near Buffalo so I wouldn't have to pay for housing.

IMO your employment prospects will be much- much better at Hofstra than Buffalo.
I have also know people that have attended Buffalo and they were underwhelmed at the experience.
